My herding dog loves these things and after the first one died I knew I had to get him another. These are about as durable as they can be, considering the materials. He loves to bounce on it, chew it, and scratch it with his claws and it gets all his energy out. Depending on how ferocious your dog is, expect this to last several hours of play. This herding ball is great! My 6 month old German Shepherd started herding it the minute I put it on the gound. She loves it. I have to limit her to about 20 minutes at a time 3 times a day so she doesn't over exert herself. You do have to make sure ther are absolutely no ripples in the cover after inflating. That way, your pups teeth won't be able to grip and tear the cover. Took about 15 minutes to assemble and fill with air. The cover wipes clean with a damp cloth. UPDATE: My previous review was a bit pre-mature. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! The first one lasted a week. The stiching around the zipper came apart, separating the zipper from the panel. Also noticed the stiching on the panels was coming apart. I requested a replacement and it lasted about a half hour. The zipper actually split and came off the track. It's a cheap plastic zipper with a white metal pull. It should be a heavy duty steel or brass zipper. So, this one will get returned as well. This should not happen to a product at that price point. The media could not be loaded. My dog LOVES this herding ball! He took to it right away. He tries to find somewhere to bite on it and has figured out that he can get a grip where the zipper is. It has to be fully pumped up or he will carry it by the cover and likely get his sharp teeth into the ball. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star was because I have to pump it up before each use. It does not hold the air very well. The plug that comes with it just seems to have a slow leak. Other than that it is perfect. He loves using it and it wears him out - which is nice for my energetic boy. Read more
I’d give zero stars if I could. The “New” item I was to receive was obviously used. Had rips in outer ball, teeth missing from zipper and small hole in inner ball that rendered it useless. This is the second one I have bought and wasn’t sure if I even should since the first one only lasted about 10 days before my dog popped it. Gave it a chance and got one already ruined. Never again will I waste $60 on something that doesn’t last more than ten days… if I can even use it at all! Read more

Worked great for two days. My dog loved it and played with it for hours. That is until the zipper broke. It looks like a tooth on the zipper was missing and the zipper split apart. I tried to pull the zipper tab back across the part that split open but that just made it detach from the ball. This left the opening spread wide open and provided a bit of a flap for my dog to bite at and would definitely lead to the ball getting holes into. I decided to deflate the ball and turn the cover inside out to try and fix the zipper. But after an half hour I gave up. This is a great idea, but the zipper needs to be much stronger than it is. It should probably be made of metal, not plastic. Read more
The media could not be loaded. This has a thick cover and fits the ball well. My dog will try and grab it with her teeth and sometimes she’s successful but really for the most part. She likes it, it tires her out a lot but it will solely depend on your dog if they will like it. If they do like it, it is a sturdy ball, cover and comes with a pump. It’s a little hard to zip the cover the first time because it covers so well, but you can get it if you work it. Compared to the others I’ve seen online, this feels like one of the better ones.
