Poor controller especially for the price. It says no stick drift and it immediately had stick drift straight out of the box. My son was so disappointed for his birthday. Will return and not buy another. Read more

Great controller! Feels like a thick ps5 controller (thick due to the back buttons). Mapping the buttons is super easy, watch the tutorial here on amazon because the button combos are a bit odd, but very easy. Only issue I have is that the stick attachments come off too easy. Just setting it up, I bumped something and they came off. They do not come off with regular play, but any outward motion will easily pull them off. Read more

I give it 3 stars because ultimately, the controller felt small in my hands and the R2/L2 buttons irritated my fingers while playing. I had to posture my fingers a certain way in order to use the back buttons. It worked as intended, was easy to set up, but had to constantly pair it to my PC or play with it plugged in. Read more

What a great controller for fps games. Tried it on apex and the paddles came in clutch. Love how I can control the recoil better with the mouse click triggers. Also love the different size and type of thumb sticks it comes with. Read more

Hexgaming's RIVAL PRO Hall Effect Wireless PS5 Controller has a lot to offer for those who want a nice-feeling controller with a lot of customization. It's not without its issues though. First, the Pros: 1. I found the controller better weighted than the PS5 DualSense and more comfortable to hold and use, even with my small hands and short fingers (for reference, I wear an XL kidsβ glove). 2. The grippy texture on the back of the controller works wonderfully to prevent slipping. It's just sticky enough to prevent the controller from slipping in my hands while still allowing free and quick movements. 3. The interchangeable thumbstick caps (which come in a dedicated sturdy and protective storage box) are a great way to change out the height, texture, and size of the caps to allow for more comfortable and quicker movements, provided you find one that appeals to you. It takes a fraction of a second to swap them out, and they can be mixed and matched for those who prefer different left and right thumbsticks. 4. The controller connects perfectly and works seamlessly with the PS5 in all aspects. The rumble effect feels good, and the responsiveness is comparable to my original controllers. At times, the RIVAL PRO even seemed to work better than my other controller. 5. For those who care about aesthetics with their controllers, the blue flames is a really nice option. It has a lot of color depth in person and everyone who tried it, though it was beautiful. Cons: 1. The controller's manual could be better. It's fairly bare bones and can be confusing at times. The instructions for connecting the device stated simply that the controller should be connected using the βincluded cableβ which made it sound like a cable was included with the controller, but we couldn't find one. Eventually, we realized they meant the PS5's included cable. 2. The thumbstick caps come in two heights but oddly, not the same styles in both heights. There's only one of the larger, smooth caps in the shorter height for instance (two in the taller), and the set with ridges along the outsides and smooth centers only comes in the shorter option. For those who prefer concave caps, which turned out to be two out of three of us testing this remote, are also out of luck unless they prefer tall thumbsticks as there's only one style that isn't convex, and it's the other half of the mis-matched short pair. Overall, I like this controller, but the thumbstick caps are an issue for me since Hexgaming's decision to mismatch one of the smaller sizes deprives me of the cap option I find most comfortable. For a high-end component like this, I wasn't expecting to be shorted in that way. At the least, all three styles should've been provided in all three heights to ensure a fully seamless experience.
