I have never worn a visor before and I'm pushing 70 years old. I could never see the point in them so I just always wore a baseball cap. I generally wear a cap to keep the sun off my face and my nose in particular after having a bout of skin cancer removed. When I bicycle, I always wear a helmet with a baseball cap on underneath for the same reason. The only problem is, the cap blocks the airflow and defeats the purpose of having a well-ventilated bicycle helmet, as a result, I tend to get extremely hot in order to keep the sun off my face. I am now a convert, and wear this visor instead of a baseball cap under my helmet when I go riding. Why I chose this visor, was due to its extremely lightweight, and thin ventilated headband section that secures it to your head. The brim of this hat is just as you would expect in a visor or baseball cap, and appears to be well made with quality looking stitching. This has been a huge improvement in air flow and keeps me considerably cooler during this hot summer. I will definitely be getting a second one to switch out and change things up. I got this visor to wear in the garden where the sun beating on your face makes you feel like you are melting. It works perfectly for that, and it really feels nice to the touch and is comfortable. The mesh material in the back is a nice surprise, since it lets air in for cooling. My problem is that I am not really a hat person, and they all mess up my hair. But you might look good in hats, and if that is the case, this is a very well-made, comfortable visor, and I would recommend it to all hat and visor lovers. Read more
