Allows tranfer from virtually any device with USB.
Very versatile. I am able to transfer from a MAC to and android via a thumb drive or SD card. For me its much better than a subscription to an FTP service. It has USB C and with a C to A adapter I can transfer data easily between My APPLE, Linux, Android, Windows. Yay. I can insert my SD card from my camera and back up to my laptop or MAC and erase the SC card for more pictures. Read more

I should have read the reviews, and probably the description before purchasing. Once I did I found that this cannot be used with iPhones/ Apple products. I don't have an android product, so I cannot say to that. I plugged it into my iPhone in the hopes that I could unload a ton of pictures while on the go to an SD card, in lieu of having to plug my phone into my laptop. I was disappointed that this didn't work as planned. However, it still works with my laptop file transfers, so all was not lost. Read more
