I installed this camera in my front door and have been using it for a few weeks now. It's very easy to install, just like changing a light bulb, screw it into the light socket and then just connect the app, that is all. The signal connection has been very stable and the video playback is very smooth. Whenever I open the app, it loads instantly. For video saving, I store it on an SD card, and save the extra cost for a subscription to a cloud service. It really excels in terms of picture quality and I can see the expression on the courier's face during the day and at night. Though the picture suffers a bit in heavy rain, which is probably a common problem with outdoor cameras, right? The motion detection is also very sensitive, and I got an alert on my phone right away when someone leaned through my doorway. So far, it has been working well, and I just ordered another one for my garage. Read more
I needed an outdoor camera to use with my dogs when they are in the back yard. This camera doesn’t need to be hard-wired in, nor does it need an outlet. You just screw it into a bulb socket and it’s ready to use. The app to control it is easy to use and I had it set up in just a few minutes. I love that I can talk through it if needed. It is easy to control and move around. I use it mainly during the day and the picture quality is great. It works well at night, too, it is just not something I use frequently. Overall it more than meets my needs and would be great for anyone wanting a little more security or just an easier way to view your property. Read more
I wasn’t sure what to expect from a bulb style security camera, but this one turned out to be pretty straightforward. It fit right into a standard E27 socket, and once powered, I followed the setup instructions through the app without much trouble. It connected to both my 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi. The image clarity is quite decent, and the night view works better than I thought it would. I like that it records to a memory card so I don’t have to rely on a cloud subscription. It also picked up motion in my driveway and sent alerts to my phone. It doesn’t look bulky, and the camera rotation can be controlled from the app, which I found helpful. Read more
I installed this camera by my side door, and it’s been working really well. The setup was quick. I just connected it to the app, and it works with both 2.4G and 5G networks, which is great for flexibility. The video quality is clear both during the day and at night. The motion detection works great too; it picks up movement quickly and sends alerts to my phone without being too sensitive. I can control everything through the app, and the camera rotates to cover a wide area. It’s a simple and effective way to boost home security without the hassle of wiring. Read more
At certain times of the year, deer visit our front lawn, some providing weed control at the foot of our entry ramp and between that ramp and our bay window. Although I do have a security camera with which I can take snapshots, the deer like to munch too far away to get a really great picture of them. Now, I have mounted this light bulb camera in between my garage doors, where I should be able to catch them from another angle. This little camera seems to have everything you could want in a camera like it. You have to download an app to communicate with it, allowing you to position the viewpoint where you want it to be most of the time, as well as change settings, such as defining a monitoring area. This little camera had a great daytime picture, very sharp and clear. The night vision is supposed to be smart, providing a black and white view unless the lights turn on, which is the signal to change to color. However, I haven't noticed much change in the picture, which shows a more narrow view of drive outside. You have the option of saving viewo and still shots to an SD memory card or subscribing to the cloud service for this camera. As you're watching the recordings playback, you can take stillshots and zoom in, if you want. Although I haven't needed it yet, it also provides two-way conversation with visitors. Of course, the deer haven't been back since I installed this camera, but I'm sure they'l be back someday. In the meantime, I am happy with this camera, for the most part. My one issue with it is the sound quality of the camera's speakers. It is both hard to hear volume-wise and hard to understand, due to pooor quality of the speaker. What's said is garbled, unintelligile. For me, I don't have any intentions of carrying on conversation with the deer, so it's not a big deal. But I don't think this camera would work well if that was something you wanted to do. Read more
When I order this I didn't really think about the fitting of the camera. The screw head works but not the length...because of the design of the shape, it is too wide to fit in the light setting. I have to buy an extender to make it work. Other function work as described. rotation really fast the recognition and movement detection also works as expected. Overall it is good security camera. It does require to download the app to setup and to make it work. Read more
I installed this camera into the outdoor light socket near my garage. It didn’t need any drilling or extra wiring, just screwed in like a regular bulb. The voice prompts made the setup easy to follow, and the camera connected quickly through the app. After setting it up, I could see the whole front area, including the driveway and part of the street. I tested the two-way audio by standing outside, and both the sound from the camera and my voice through the app came through clearly. The zoom feature lets me get a closer look without the image getting blurry. For a small camera, it covers everything I need around the garage. Read more
