The media could not be loaded. I got this bug detector about 6 weeks ago because I travel frequently for work and wanted some peace of mind in hotels and Airbnbs. The device is incredibly lightweight and compact, easily fits in my laptop bag without adding bulk. The single-button operation is simple once you figure out the different detection modes. It does pick up electronic devices - tested it on my phone, laptop, and some known cameras and it detected them all with beeping and LED indicators. However, it gives a lot of false positives. In most hotel rooms it goes off constantly from WiFi routers, TVs, air conditioning units, and other normal electronics. It’s hard to tell the difference between legitimate threats and everyday devices. The sensitivity seems quite high which I guess is better than missing something, but it makes the device pretty noisy in most environments. The German chipset claim sounds impressive but I have no way to verify if it’s actually more accurate than other detectors. Battery life is decent, lasts several days of occasional use before needing a charge. The build quality feels solid for such a lightweight device. For the price it’s reasonable if you want some basic electronic detection capability, but don’t expect it to definitively identify hidden cameras versus regular electronics. The media could not be loaded. I like how light this device was taking it out. It is very compact form for a detection device. I was able to easily either put this in my backpack or travel back and take it on the go. For a compact device, it has access to multiple use spy detection. One minor thing I will say is careful when handling with the screen. I actually got it scratched up in my bag. It doesn't hinder the performance but peeves me to see the scratch. This is better than carrying those wand ones you would wave around in order to detect stuff. You can use this to do the same thing. It does have a ton of features built into it. This device is a bit more fragile than those wand device being more compact. It does not come with a carrying case so you can easily get it scratched up over time but the overall frame is relatively sturdy. I do like the infrared detection in order to see hidden cameras. It has a digital screen rather than just LED lights or analog pointer which can make it a bit easier to read accurately but it can also be a little on the learning curve. It can detect GPS signal so I can scan my car if anyone is trying to leave an airtag on my car or if there is any bugs or cameras in my airbnb or hotel. The nice thing is that this is much easier to store inside my glove box than the wand. With the size of this detector, the reading are not erratic or inaccurate. The controls take time to learn being you need to go through a bunch of different options and just figuring out which does what. The manual if pretty straight forward in terms of understanding but a few typos here and there. When utilizing the detection, do not go fast or it will not get the reading. The buttons on this are responsive so you do not have to press down hard to change functions and such. I also had no issues with the buttons breaking or getting stuck. There is a simple power switch to turn the device on or off. It has a built in rechargeable battery that you can charge it via USB. Overall this device is great to have if you want something a bit on the compact end while also having a bunch of multiple detection features. The detection is accurate and on point. Read more
