I bought this detector before a recent trip and I’m really glad I did. It’s small, easy to use, and works exactly as described. It picked up signals in test runs and helped me feel more secure in my hotel room. The different modes are straightforward, and the instructions were clear. If you travel a lot or just want to make sure your space is safe, I definitely recommend this. Read more
In today’s world you never know who is watching when you travel. You want to believe that hotel rooms are safe and secure, but you never know. I got this device to take along on our travels for an added sense that of security. The device is lightweight, compact and easy to use. At home it easily identifies WiFi signals. I can’t speak about its ability to locate hidden cameras as it didn’t detect any on our recent trip. Hopefully that means there were none. It will definitely be part of future trips. Read more
I found that this device provided a bit of peace of mind while checking out a recent property that we rented for vacation. I used the different modes to find out if there were hidden cameras, wifi signals, and other little gadgets placed where they shouldn't be. I would definitely recommend trying it out in your house where you may already have these devices that this tool is designed to detect so you get the feel of what you should be looking for. I think the asking price is on par with the quality of the product that you get. My grading scale: 5 Stars = Knocks it out of the park, PERFECT BUY! 4 Stars = Excellent find, you should definitely give it a shot. 3 Stars = It works and functions as advertised. 2 Stars = A little scary, but do your research and it may work out. 1 Stars = Avoid this product and look elsewhere. All of my reviews are based on actual use of the product. I do not communicate with sellers and I am not compensated for positive or negative reviews - they are as honest as I can make them. Now that my husband and I are both retired, we are doing more traveling. I saw this and my husband said we should try it out to see how it worked. We've never thought much about being spied upon, but you never know! It does indeed work as advertised. But you have to get fairly close for some things (wifi, magnet, pinhole camera), and it is not as easy nor convenient as what I suppose the CIA uses. The instructions were not as clear as one would hope. The info on the website helped fill in the gaps. We tried it on a recent airbnb trip: 1) In wifi mode, we were able to find the wifi router (although we already knew where it was). We also detected our phones if we waited for a few seconds (the phones 'talk' much less than the router does). 2) In infrared mode, it did infrared light. See attached blurry photo taken at night of me holding the device with the back pointed towards a mounted backyard security camera: Upper circle shows the camera, which is viewing the yard with infrared light (the pinkish dots). Center circle shows the number of bars of "intensity" of the infrared light as reported by the detector. Lower circle indicates that "infrared mode" (the brightest text) is selected on the detector. 3) In magnetic mode, it also beeped when it got fairly close to a magnet (such as in my table cover). 4) Camera detection was a bit more tricky. We didn't find any in the airbnb, so we used it on our security cameras at home. You have to get reasonably close and look "straight on" at a suspected hidden pinhole camera to see a small red reflection. You can get a lot of false reflections, so you have to move closer and really inspect the item to determine if the red dot is really a camera lens or something else. 5) The vibration monitor was more like "send out an alarm if the device is dropped or jostled from its resting place". It worked, and it is OK if you put the device in the best place to get knocked over by an unexpected movement. 6) The SOS worked reasonably well. I guess in those rare circumstances where you need it, it would come in quite handy. So I'll give it 5 stars for doing fairly well what it says it will do at a reasonable price. We'll keep using it on future trips. But I can already sense that we will get tired of using it all the time and scanning everything as thoroughly as we should. We'll probably fall back to just trusting everything as we did before. But maybe if we go to Russia we'll carefully scan the entire room! Read more

This smart detector product can give you piece of mind when traveling to places that you may not be 100% comfortable with. The detector is decent and I've used to check out wifi signals in rooms at hotels that were legitimate in that case. The modes are easy to switch between and the redlight scanning is kind of cool but you need to practice all the functions of the product before you travel. Overall, a good value to provide you some sense of security. While not perfect, it's a decent product that you may appreciate. Read more
This Hidden Camera and Bug Detector is a solid little tool that brings real peace of mind when staying in hotels or Airbnbs. It’s simple to use thanks to a two button layout. once you’ve used it once, you won’t need to keep the manual with you. The infrared detector and Wi-Fi scanner were the standout features for me. I was able to pick up faint signals from about 8 feet away with the infrared, which is more than enough in a typical room, and the Wi-Fi detection worked well within 20 feet. One thing to note: for hidden camera detection, this relies on IR light reflection, so it’s only effective on cameras that use IR. The red LED/optical filter works, but the effect is faint, so I wouldn’t count on it as your primary detection method. Still, it’s a useful addition. The motion sensor and anti-theft alarm are handy hotel features. the alarm isn’t super loud, but the flashing light adds a visual deterrent if someone tries to snoop. Overall, it’s lightweight, compact, and feels thoughtfully designed. It’s not going to catch every possible threat, but for the size, price, and ease of use, it’s a smart travel companion if you’re even slightly worried about hidden surveillance. This has earned a permanent spot in our travel kit. Read more
