HIGH FLYING for Toyota 4Runner 2010-2024 Car Accessories Modular Storage Molle Panel System Trunk Shelf Luggage Carrier Cargo

I have been shopping for a shelf and panel system for a while now for my 4Runner and didn’t like the fitment of most options on the market, or the price of what “everyone” thinks you should buy. For right around $400, you get both panels, plus the center shelf and even a couple gorilla style clamps. The window panels fit very nicely and cover a good majority of the rear windows. The square crossbars for the shelf keep everything nice and sturdy the entire width, and with 4 available height options, you can still fit a cooler, fridge or even a sleeping platform with room to spare. The aluminum does feel a bit light, however, once everything is together it all feels nice and solid. I am on trails full time and am sure this will be a game changer as far as space and organization goes. Instructions were decent, hardware seems of good quality (may go with all grade 8 later and larger washers for peace of mind) and fitment of everything was nice and uniform. With that said, I will update this if I come across any issues, but everything seems solid and I don’t suspect I will encounter any unwanted issues or noise. Definitely worth the cost so far. This item is fantastic for the price. So straight out of the box, the kit came with instructions, hardware and panels. The panels aren’t heavy they are made of some kind of aluminum alloy that isn’t magnetic, not steel like the more expensive kits out there. That being said they do have some flex to them, they aren’t wobbly but they will vent if you hit with a hammer or something. The hardware and “tools” included are very cheap but get the job done, some of the hex heads didn’t even have the hex stamped out and they give you way too many. Just to show how cheap they are. They hold and have broken but I will change mine out for looks and peace of mind. The install was fairly simple taking me about an hour to install everything. There were some instances where I did have to force some of the pieces to fit but once tighter down it was a tight sturdy fit. I do not have the issue of rattling that others have described. The shelf is very nice being able to set it vertically. At first I wished that the shelf could be placed higher but at its highest position you are limited to what you can place in there. Luckily it’s just right for me to place my tool kit and pelican case with room for other items. The window Molle is very nice but I am only able to fit a few things each side, either these molle is smaller than I thought or my stuff is just bigger than I thought. But overall I am very happy with this product and I am glad I didn’t drop 1k on some of the other ones out there. Read more

Material quality pretty good overall. I had a few screws that bridged the long platform strip. I made sure I didn't over torque but I think screwing 2 pieces that holds the brunt if the weight on the platform needs to be rethinked. I put 2 more heavier duty sheet metal screws and that seems to hold. One of the gripes I have is how the whole thing just squeaks every time i hit a bump. I don't know if that is normal but I went back to make sure all screws are not loose and it still squeaks. So, if thats a major problem for you, u might want purchase something where the platform is 1 oiece and not 2. But I bought this because it was the cheapest I could find for what I got. Just installed my HI FLYING storage system and I love it! The materials are good quality, the accessories included are awesome, and everything fits perfectly. The installation instructions were a little tricky (it looks like they were written in Chinese, and then directly translated) but the video helped me to see how to do it. Excellent design! For the price, it absolutely can't be beat. Others charge the price of High Flying's entire kit for JUST the shelf. Instructions have a link to a video for a full install, which was very helpful since the paper instructions were a bit ambiguous. However, the video doesn't show the installation with the provided crush and flat washers- if someone is not familiar with using hardware like this, they will not know what to do with it. Quality is just okay. I've had the panels on for a week of daily driving and no squeaks. However, the quality of the material is a bit iffy. I have multiple gashes on the shelf, which I was surprised since the parts were packaged well (maybe a defect from the factory?). Due to these gashes, there are some rust spots that I had to fix. Decent for the price. Had it in for a few weeks and it’s been pretty sturdy. My only complaint is the support bars for the shelf go on top limiting what you can put on it. Would be better if they could go on the bottom. And the instructions are trash just YouTube it 😂 Read more
