This is a great game as long as you enjoy rick and morty type comedy and banter. I do enjoy that so this review is from that perspective. First of all this is a first person shooter with plenty of platforming and multiple tools to accomplish said platforming that you will accumulate on your journey. You also unlock several guns that have secondary effects to assist with exploration and add variety to your playstyle. All weapons have different and fun personalities, I like Gus the most because J.B.Smoove :)! I've seen a lot of reviews talking about the length of the game saying it's too short and in some of those same reviews they admit to not finding or looking for all the collectables or not upgrading their weapons because they blasted through the game without paying attention. I play slowly and methodically and am always looking for easter eggs, unlockables, secrets and short cuts. I also just spend time listening to the idiotic banter from the NPC's and insane TV commercials, I mean that's what this game is all about and it's fantastic. ***EDIT: I have finished the base game and collected every luglox chest and have 3 more trophies to get. I have over 52 hrs in game which includes watching all 4 movies. There are 4 full length B-movies in the game which is hilarious and I have found myself just taking a break after a boss fight and watching for 20-45+ mins. In my opinion there's a lot of value here, great game mechanics (shooting/ platforming) Fantastic writing and voice acting and gorgeous graphics that are very colorful and vibrant. Now, I have noticed some screen tearing in visually complicated areas but nothing game breaking of course and if they happen to patch it someday visually it would perfect for this style of game. ***EDIT: I turned the FOV slider back to default, I had moved it to 110 when first playing. On default setting there is NO screen tearing. This is a unique game and I have nothing quite like in my game collection. I know I'll be replaying this game for years and I'm stoked to have a physical copy with the DLC on the disc that's just awesome. ***EDIT: Yes the DLC is 100% on the disc, I'm playing it now. Highly recommended! Read more

This game is super immersive, lots to do very fun! I wouldn't recommend it for anyone under 16. Lots of cursing and character drug references to "do a line" in the beginning....the rest is not so bad I'm halfway through the game and I love it Read more

Great game, High On Life is a wildly entertaining game with a refreshingly original sense of humor. The writing is sharp, the voice acting is top-notch, and the gameplay is surprisingly solid. If you're looking for something fun, weird, and genuinely funny, this game delivers. A must-play for fans of sci-fi and comedy! Read more

Wow, Iβm surprised how much fun this game is. I got about half way through and started over to enjoy parts I had missed. Once I completed it there was another game to be played which was just as fun. There are some good puzzles trying to get past obstacles and the talking guns made me laugh multiple times. One warning, there is a lot of use of the F word !!!! Over and over and over. So be careful whoβs around when you play it. Iβm not sure if that can be turned down. It was more humorous then offensive and seemed to fit the play. Read more

I'm enjoying this game for a lot of reasons - the graphics, the humor, the voice acting. But something feels like it's missing. A lot of times the worlds feel somewhat empty. I think more RPG-like elements would have enhanced this game - like side-quests and more equipment customization options. Read more

Is it an innovative game with amazing mechanics, puzzles and storytelling? No. But it serves its purpose as entertainment through humor and creative use of common game mechanics. The humor won't be for everyone, it tends to be dark and raunchy. However, with hundreds of cookie-cutter FPS games release every year, its a breath of fresh air. Read more

This game is funny, love the edgy humor. Admire the visuals color schemes . I wasn't planing on purchasing High On Life because to my knowledge it was for Xbox I believe but when I saw it for ps5 I was shocked I had to buy it. The game was released on 2022. I saw the price and I didn't care how much it was I wanted to play it so badly. Anyway love the cover of the game it's dope. Read more
