I just love to set a "pretty" table - to me, when food is plated artfully and drinks are served in beautiful glassware, somehow, everything just tastes so much better! We have a set of acrylic highball glasses that, quite frankly, have seen better days - the once-clear acrylic is now cloudy and etched from the dishwasher, and though they're not leaking, the bases have cracked from the heat of the dishwasher. I've been wanting to replace them for a while now, so when I saw this lovely set of 6, 12 oz glass highball drinking glasses, I couldn't wait to try them. Let me tell you, these highball glasses do not disappoint! The glasses are made of thick, sturdy glass, and they just have such a satisfying heft in the hand! Even though they taper toward the bottom, they don't knock over easily - it seems that the bottom is weighted - so they both look beautiful, and are super practical. They truly seem durable to me - unlike some glassware I've had in the past, I do not see these breaking easily (the glasses I had before were lovely and delicate, and each one broke with the slightest ding - hence my acrylic drinking glasses - lol!) They're also just so beautifully designed - the subtle, cut-glass along the bottom and the lovely edges (I think they're called fluted edges?) make them look so classy! They're practical enough for everyday use, yet fancy enough for a party - I love anything that does double duty for me and is super versatile! They washed easily in the dishwasher, and came out beautifully, with out spotting at all! I love anything that makes my life easier - and beautiful glassware that you can run through the dishwasher after a party is definitely something that makes my life easier! These are beautifully cut glasses. They are made of a very thick cut glass, making them a very good quality and weight. The crystal cut around the bottom is very pretty. The only problem we have had is the bottom is very small. The sides are tapered in at the bottom and so if you set it down on any non-perfectly flat surface, like a placemat or wrinkle in the table cloth, it has a tendency to want to tip. I really like these glasses. They have a very simple eye catching design. I especially like how narrow they are so they don't take up too much real estate in the cupboard. They are thick enough to not feel cheap or fragile but thin enough to not feel too heavy. I'm sure they are durable. The only drawback to these is that I can't seem to find any other sizes. Once I got these I immediately started looking for a smaller set for the kids' drinks but can't seem to find a matching set. Oh well, they will have to keeping slumming it with the plastic cups. ha! Make sure you pay attention to size when ordering. These are smaller than the glasses we currently have so I wish Id paid more attention to the listing. They hold 12 oz compared to my 16 oz glasses and are almost tiny like a childs play cup. These will still work just wish they were bigger. They are extremely nice quality glass. Very thick that I feel wouldn't break too easily if dropped. The design looks like something youd see at a restaurant. I dont know how to better explain it. Just that kind of generic pattern. For the price ($30 for a set of 6) i think its pretty pricey. There are similar quality, better looking sets for the same price or less. For that I gave it 4 stars. Read more

I just got these yesterday and I’m already really impressed with them. They’re quickly becoming the glasses I reach for instead of the random mix of cups I’ve had in the cabinet for years. They just look nicer and feel better in your hand. The first thing I noticed is the weight. They feel solid and sturdy — not thin or fragile like some cheaper glassware. The crystal-cut design on the bottom is really pretty too. It catches the light nicely and makes them look a little more elegant than your average everyday drinking glass. They’d honestly work just as well for guests or small get-togethers as they do for daily use. The only thing that surprised me was the size. At 12 ounces, they’re a bit smaller than I pictured. If you’re someone who fills a glass with lots of ice and soda, you might run out of room pretty fast. But that’s on me — the size is clearly listed, so I can’t really complain. For water and juice they’re perfect. Overall, great quality, comfortable to hold, and nice looking enough to double as “company” glasses. These glasses look elegant and feel sturdy, with a nice crystal-cut weighted base that gives them a premium appearance. These are nice glasses. The base is a little on the narrow side, so they're ready to tip over, but the glass is heavy and they feel great to hold. I'm not going to drop test them, but so far they've held up very well. Easy to wash, since there are no roads inside the cups. They are stackable for storage. Read more
