As a hairstylist with a very strong focus on menโs hair for over 20 years, I applaud the guys at Highland for what they are doing. A product line with quality and minimal ingredients we can actually read and understand. This clay is what I have always wanted!! Sure youโll see some reviews talking about how there isnโt enough hold or itโs not even a medium hold when it says itโs strong hold on the package, but you have to understand, when a product is this clean, strong hold isnโt going to feel like the strong hold in the garbage products most of us have used. This is a strong hold, in terms of keeping your best natural look all day. Something you can work into place, then continuously run your hands through all day and it still looks great. The menโs clay from Davines does a wonderful job at this too, but thereโs something about the finish of this product that literally brings out such a healthy natural look. Not shiny either and definitely does not give you a wet look out of the shower. If you see that kind of review, the guy most likely has greasy hair, is using cheap conditioner, or perhaps applied too much. Donโt over use this product in your application, you get the best out it. Iโve tried a lot of different hair clays and pomades over the years, and this one stands out. Itโs easy to scoop and work into my hair, and it styles perfectly without being stiff, which is hard to find. The hold is strong enough to last all day, but my hair still looks natural and flexible, not crunchy or greasy. A little goes a long way, and it applies evenly without clumping. I also like that it doesnโt weigh my hair down and washes out easily at the end of the day. This is an okay product. It works well for the first hour or two but then makes my hair very greasy - it feels like I haven't washed it in weeks. It's fairly sticky, which is great, but again it only lasts 2-3 hours for me before making my hair greasy. It smells great - I'll give them that. I bought this pomade for my husband and he absolutely loves it! After using so many different cheap junk hair products from the grocery store, it was great to find something that focused on quality of ingredients and the product that they put out. It's so easy to use, makes his hair and scalp feel great, and he only needs to use a small amount to get the look he wants!
