I have been adding to my smart home for years and I previously used Chromecast for my TV along with a connected IR blaster to automate turning the TV on or off. This was a bit clunky so I decided to get this Android TV for the bedroom because we already use Google Hub for all voice controls in the house. This TV has worked out so well. I love the UI along with the option of remote controller on my phone and it even integrates with Home Assistant, with just a bit of work, so that I can tie it into automations. Account setup was sipper easy for all of our streaming services and I love that it can connect to the network via Ethernet. The picture and sound are really good and I was surprised at how light it was for it's size. I do run a Plex server, but I already connected a 2TB USB drive to the TV and that plays movies very well. One odd thing that I did notice is that some shows from apps like HBO max did not wound the same as ones from Hulu. The sound was not bad, but just noticeably not the same. I mostly got this so I could watch stuff while my GF takes over the living room for her shows, but she loves this TV so much that she keeps trying to use it for herself. Now I am thinking of getting a bigger version of this TV to replace the one I have in the living room. I did keep the box just in the event that something went wrong, but it looked like most of the bad reviews were from people who received a broken TV and just never said anything until the 30 day return window was over... I mean if you are just sitting on a broken TV for 30 days without contacting support I have a hard time feeling sorry for you. Read more

This is a great tv. It was easy to set up with no problems. I had an problem with the remote not working when I spoke to it, but after I re-read the direction i found out I didn’t follow the directions and pair it. Sound quality is great and I can hear it well. I started out with an antenna and it worked as advertised. It was easy to set up for the free over the air channels. Downloading apps was simple and there were quite a few to choose from. I’ll probably buy a second one for the living room. Read more

It was a little over 120 bucks when I got this. Easy to chromecast from your phones and feels like using an Android phone. Lags a bit here and there so you need to switch it off and on to make it work normal. Clarity is good for the HD version provided. Read more

This TV has some quirks. First, I suspect the 32 inch model doesn't have all the features in the downloadable manual. No individual picture or sound adjustments. I guess the DTS sound isn't switchable and the sound is diffuse on voice. Got an Anker Soundflare for great sound. No external buttons on TV so need remote. Already had a Firestick so I can't comment on the WiFi. Decent picture without adjustments. Easy setup. I must upgrade my review. While looking thru the menu, I found picture and other adjustments I was complaining about not having. They were buried in the Settings-Device Preferences sub menu. Not under the picture or sound menus you would expect. Working great with Firestick. Read more

Originally ordered through Amazon from Electronic Express. Avoid Electronic Express... never shipped item until after it was supposed to be delivered, just created a shipping label. They never responded to my messages through Amazon. I ended up buying locally from a big box electronics store at the same price and had curb side pickup in a couple hours. As far as the TV, works as expected. A couple notes: * TV runs slow until after the firmware update. * Remote needs to be set up as Bluetooth. * Was able to set up to work with Google Home. * Works with Bluetooth headsets. * Was able install Android apps. Don't waste your money on this. The picture quality and sound were ok for the price, I just wanted something cheap for my home Office that I could occasionally cast training videos from my laptop. Big disappointment when I found that the apps for android TV are lacking compared to roku. For the price and my use it was fine for exactly two weeks. One day I go to turn it on, the TV boots to the hisense/android TV splash screen, hangs there for about 20 seconds, then the screen goes black for about 10 seconds and shuts off. I've been through all the internet forums, unplugged the TV and plugged it back in, unplugged it held down the power button on the TV for 30 seconds and plugged it back in, and every combination of those two things you can think of. TV still won't turn on. I read some forms that say I just need to get the firmware and flash the TV. Problem is there is no way to download the firmware from their site. Emailed support with the full details, recipet model, sn, etc and was told I need to call. I called, had to jump through the power on/off unplug hoops again before being told my call was being escalated. I just checked my email this morning and am being ask to supply my receipt again and model/an. Their support is garbage. I tried to initiate a return through Amazon but dont have the box (why would I, the TV was fine for 2 weekes). I told them I'm willing to do an exchange so I can send my current TV back in the new box. They said they initiated the return, but so far nothing. I don't normally bother with reviews, I get that things are going to be defective sometimes but reading online this seems like a common issue. I have a feeling it's a reaolvable issue with the TV but the manufacturer makes it needlessly complicated to figure out how to resolve. Read more
