Great watch at a great price, it does all the things other much more expensive watches do and more. You can actually answer calls, listen, and talk through the watch! The app is good. The only thing I didn't really like was the band, it's a little heavy and bulky feeling, but it can easily be changed. This is a great win as a gift for others or yourself. If you can't afford or don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a brand-name watch, this is an excellent choice. Read more
My first smart watch. It's a Hoaiyo v51. It's pretty cool for the price, but the price is very low. It does look nice, and it's very easy to pair it with the FitCloudPro app. (It's a third party app used by a bunch of similar low-end watches.) The app does allow you to upload your data to Google Fit, Health Connect, and/or WeRun, if you want. The battery will last you a week, easily. (More advanced smart watches with more features need charging every day or two.) The charger can be a little fiddly. It's small, the cord is short, and the magnet that holds it in place is pretty weak. Once you get it in place, just don't nudge anything. The watch is physically significantly larger than the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 I bought to replace it. Even just the watch band is really wide. And yet the watch face is 240 x 240 pixels, compared to 450 x 450 for the smaller Galaxy watch. The sensors are not accurate. I tried holding my breath while measuring blood oxygen, and the reading went up. The step counter thinks I walk in my sleep, or while cutting vegetables, or eating salad. The sleep tracker doesn't even work if you sleep outside the expected range of 9:30pm - noon, and you can't adjust that. It doesn't give much data, anyway. It will not take oxygen or heart rate readings unless you manually tell it to, which means you don't get that data for when you're asleep. There are only a few watch faces, and they aren't very good. There are third party options, but you have to manually open the directory on your phone where the watch faces are stored, rename the new watch face to use the file name of one of the stored watch faces, and then hope the app is tricked into accepting the swap, at which point you can have the app replace one of the stored faces on the watch. If there's an option to keep the watch face always on, I couldn't find it. All in all: If you just want a watch that looks neat and can do a few more things than an ordinary digital watch, this isn't a bad option. It's cheaper than some of the regular digital sports watches or calculator watches out there. But if you want step counting, health monitoring, sleep tracking, etc.... You should probably get something a little better than this. Read more
