I bought this because I am desperate to find a replacement for the original Hollister SoCal fragrance. The canyon escape is a light almost Juniperberry spring day Woodsey with top notes of cardamom Bergamont, and maybe cedar.. it is a nice late evening summer fragrance however there will never be a replacement for the SoCal, which has been my favorite since I walked through a Hollister doorway back some 20 odd years ago, but so far every Hollister sent that I have purchased and there’s been a few few have been enjoyable. Not sure how to describe this cologne , as everyone's body chemistry is different. It hits initially as peppery . Not overpowering , and not sure younger guys will like it compared to today's lighter blends offered. Scent holds for awhile, would need to reapply after a few hours, as the faded scent is there, but not as noticeable. Not an " airy" or lite scent , so maybe used as something for Saturday errands.
