This jewelry case is truly a gem - it's rare when I receive an item to review and the item is so much nicer than I expected it to be. That is the "case" with this jewelry box (pun intended). I own nice jewelry and I would use it, but because the price point is so good, you could buy this for someone as young as 6+ who has play jewelry and she'd feel beyond special too. So I'm going to go against my normal review structure and say (up front) that I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a well-constructed, beautiful and functional case that organizes a LOT of jewelry and will keep it in place if it's carried around. Homde's Jewelry Box is made of quality faux leather and lined with soft fabric (it feels like a felt mix). Both the outside and inside are luxurious and soft to the touch. The gold closure hardware is also a lock, if you choose to use it, and there are 2 keys (keep one in a safe place!). The 2 side panels are magnetically held in place, so they don't automatically open when you open the front of the case, but are easy to open. Every detail of this case is very thought out, but I think the most stand-out part is the size and clarity/quality of the mirror - making it actually useful for seeing what your earrings or necklace will look like on. Most other cases this size either don't have a mirror or they have a smaller one. And, speaking about comparable cases, I couldn't find one with this size of mirror that is also made of quality faux (vegan) leather. The size is accurate - I measured it at 8 1/2" long x 6 1/2" tall x 6 1/3" wide. Given the jewelry that I have and my want to keep it nicely organized and neat, I would say I could store approximately 14 rings, up to 16 pairs of stud earrings, 8 necklaces (hanging) and several bracelets or watches. I have two jewelry boxes from this brand already and they do not disappoint! The faux leather is smooth and soft, with no smelliness out of the box, which is a huge plus. It’s a creamy white with pretty gold hardware that looks nice enough to leave out on a dresser, and the interior is equally nice, lined is a soft velveteen fabric in a beige color. This particular box has two drawers, a top ring tray, and two side necklace hangers/pockets. It fits a wonderful amount of jewelry and is lightweight and portable too. The size is just right for someone with a smaller jewelry collection like myself, but I can also see it being wonderful for a traveler who wants to take a full selection with them.
