Very nice and soft. Works very well even though I bought the used version. I would've given 5 stars, but there were a few difficulties setting it up. First, There are actually two types of end pieces you need to look out for, otherwise they end up overlapping just a bit. Second, you can't put any end pieces unless you make the entire mat a rectangle (e.g., no L shape). These were just aesthetic nitpicks, but the functionality is great. Definitely worth the price. Worked perfectly for home gym. Assembled easily and had a bunch of edge pieces left over as each square had two sides with edging. Another user mentioned an awful smell, not at all the case with the two boxes I ordered. Each box had plastic bags with 6 pieces each. Very happy with the purchase. Material is thin but soft. Strong enough to move (roll on front wheels) the arc trainer over without tearing. Adds a nice cushion for workouts and under equipment to reduce noise, or when my daughter's doing her cartwheels and back bends gymnastics moves it provides so much peace of mind knowing she isn't landing on hardwood or even a carpet with padding. Lined my entire home gym with these since the floor is a concrete slab. Great size and good value, but not cheaply made. When I leave weights on them, after a day or two the indent disappears.
