Works as advertised. Easy to put on and does, in fact, come up from the floor (vinyl) and stays sticky enough to reapply. It's a little hard to get the backing to peel off, but but other than that, it's easy to use. Read more

Excellent at protecting against tripping or slide out hazards. They are very sticky and work very well (at least initially; but expect they will lose adhesion with repeated lifting or rug washing). They are very thin, so no lumps or raised edges. Can be cut easily, with sharp scissors. Well labeled to indicate which side to apply to rug and which to floor. Just don't apply to any area rugs that may need to be moved frequently, like a bath mat. I haven't noticed any curling, residue, nor any other indication of their presence once attached (yay). Note: Because they are so thin, flexible, and sticky, it is a little difficult to remove their protective paper/plastic covers: good fingernails will help a lot (alternatively, you can use the edge of a mat-knife or razor blade). These work as described. They do grip tightly to the rugs and keep them down. And I can see that they would be able to come right off the floor super easy. Which is great. There's little possibility of damage to your floors. Which was what I was looking for with robot vacuums. I wanted the rug to be kept down and not bunched up. This product does that. But there is a couple of caveats: 1. First and foremost, what did adheres to your rug adheres to your rug. I don't think this is going to come off your rug afterwards. It kind of stuck to it forever. It's very unlikely to come off. So I don't recommend using this with family heirlooms or very valuable rugs or rugs that you're concerned about taking to another location. The rugs that I used it on were relatively cheap and are not precious to me at all. So I was good. However you may not be. Consider this before purchasing. 2. The pads are a bit big for area rugs. I think these were designed for large area rugs or full size rugs. For these pads are humongous. You do not need to use for pads to hold down one small rug. You can cut them into four put them in the four corners and it works just fine. That's what I did with my two rugs that I've attached to my floors. And my robot has run over it many times without a problem. Depending on the size of the rug though you might need to add a few more on the sides. But I could get away with the corners. But that's something you have to decide for yourself. This is a very nice product even though it does have the potential to damage your rugs. For my particular circumstance that doesn't matter, but if that is a concern for you I would be cautious before using this. I also probably would not use this on a rug outside. Something tells me that if it gets wet it will release on you. It's not a perfect product but few things are. And for the price it's fairly good. It really has helped a great deal with my situation. Perfect for the corner of rugs sticking up. I had my doubts when I purchased these, because I have tried so many things and hacks to keep the corner of the rug from curling up and becoming a trip hazard. I placed these on the corner of the rug and it works perfectly. It's been on the rug for months and the corner is still flat. Read more

My carpet hasn't moved sense I started using these. They work great! We have them on a high traffic rug. Highly recommend. We have not tried removing them, so we can't report on the flooring or carpet after removal. Read more

I bought this rug tape for the runner in my guest bathroom because it kept sliding around, and I wanted something to hold it in place. The sticky part is very sticky, so it definitely works! But I realized after putting it down that cleaning under the rug could be tricky. Every time I try to sweep or lift the rug, I have to unstick and restick it, which makes it lose some of its stickiness over time. Now there’s a little bit of sticky residue that sometimes shows around the edges. So, while it holds well, I wouldn’t recommend it for rugs in areas you clean under frequently—like a bathroom. It would probably work better for hallway runners or rugs you don’t move often. Read more

Bought the 16 pack for a 5x7 rug and did 4 rows of 4. The sticky patches are small but work well. We turned the rug upside down, stuck on the sticky patches, and then slowly rolled it on to the floor in the right spot. Definitely a two person job! Read more
