Not very absorbent for hand towels but they get the job done if you swap them often. Guess that's why there are 12 in the pack. Purchased as backup towels for the kitchen because they were the color I needed and they were on a flash sale. They don't soak up much and they don't dry quickly so there are several damp towels literally hanging around because i don't put them in the hamper wet/damp. So my intention here was to buy some towels that I could use just for random stuff. I don't need dish towels I don't need hand towels hanging in the bathroom, I needed towels just to clean stuff up if I spill something if I need a do rag maybe wipe my car down real quick, one of the cats makes a mess, whatever.. so for this particular purpose I wasn't looking to spend a fortune because depending on what I use this particular towel for I might just want to throw it out. I've purchased others in the past and my first time was just a really cheap inexpensive hand towels which worked however after washing them twice they were falling apart. That probably helps explain how cheap they really were... I've also in the past purchased bar rags, however some of those were of a higher quality and they cost more so I found myself hesitant to grab one depending on the mess. These however are perfect. The price did not break the bank, they are absorbent enough to clean up minor spills which is the reason I bought them, and they basically come in handy for a whole bunch of things. Yeah it is true that if you spill a glass of milk at dinner you can run out to the kitchen and grab the paper towels, but depending where you have these stashed, they work a little better and they are reusable. I keep a few of them in the garage I've got some in each of my cars, I've got a few in the kitchen under the sink, and I've got some in the laundry room. I bought these to use for the gym. They are thinner than your regular hand towel. However, work freakin absolutely great! I was more than pleasantly surprised, I was shocked that I finally found a towel where I don't feel like I'm just smearing my sweat on my face but the towel is actually absorbing it. They are thinner therefore lighter which is great because they don't take a while lotta room. They also don't have the finishing trim which really doesn't bother me since just using them for the gym.
