Made in America superior quality like the Old Days. Easily worth the price.
We've been using these (16oz) glasses for about two months now every day. So far NONE of the items mentioned in the negative reviews has been evident to us. True to the description, these drinking glasses are really stylish and beautiful, are durable and really do keep drinks cold or hot a long time. They have ended worry of condensation rings on our tables without the need to use coasters. For cold drinks we fill the glasses with the desired amount of ice and cold water from the fridge dispenser and, after testing them out on coasters, now put them directly on our polished custom-made American cherry dining table (or anywhere else) without worry. No wetness on the outside at all. They do not even feel at all cold on the outside: a testimony to their insulating ability. They are also very stylish in design and have no qualms using them in a formal dining setting. They are clear as good quality glass and they have not been stained by fruit juices including grape or anything else we've put in them for consumption; nor have they been scratched at all, and no abrasion fogging like typical plastic or cheap glass after many washings. We have poured hot coffee from the drip coffee maker directly in them without damage. We have not tried to reheat coffee in them in the microwave like we do ceramic cups mostly because we haven't needed to. They are still at good drinking temperature when we finish them. The description says have at it in the microwave. Everything else they've said was true, so if I ever do need to heat something from cold to hot in the micro I'll update the review. We wondered what size to get, but have found in our world the 16 oz size perfect for us as we have learned to use less ice due to much less melting and consequently have more beverage to drink. BTW. They hold exactly 16 oz right to the top. So, with some room not to spill on your way to the table: maybe 14oz or so usable. I don't know how they have made plastic to out-perform glass so well, but we are amazed and very pleased with the product, and proud of the American ingenuity. We're going to get four more and throw out some glassware made in you-know-where. Nice to see some Made in America quality again after years of you-know-where junk. Read more
