I selected these specific glasses because they are a "healthy" alternative to a lot of plastic options. I have been really concerned for decades about all the plastic used in food packaging and preparation. I have primarily used glass glasses to avoid the possible unhealthy leaching that may occur in certain categories. These plastic glasses were made for people like me. I have a tile floor in my kitchen. I have some neuropathic issues and that means I can't feel when I am holding something whether I have a good grasp or not. So, I have managed to break a lot of drinking glasses, ceramic dishware and glass cookware. As I age, cleaning up such messes are a challenge. Additionally, I like that these are bigger than a lot of the options. So, that also influenced my choice. The rim on the bottom of the glass was shorter than the molding dot in the middle (of the bottom of the glass).it made them wobbly. I do like them, so I’m not returning.
