UPDATE! I ADDED ONE MORE STAR! It works so well that I bought another one for my home to sit over my desk. There are many reviews here that give it one star because it's hard to put together or you can't take it apart once you have. It says in the instructions once you put the head on you can't take it off. So understand this before you put it together. I'm getting ready now to order my third one to put next to my reading chair. I like this lamp a lot and though I still think it's overpriced it is worth it. By the way, if you read the booklet you'll know how to use the controls and you won't get confused like others who have left reviews that said the light was too dim. Read the instructions! Arrived well packaged, easy to put together, works well, controls are smooth and easy to adjust in small increments. Having said all that I only give it four stars because it is overpriced. If I'm still using it in 5 years then I guess I would give it five stars. We'll see how long it lasts. Read more

This is a nice streamlined LED task lamp. The base is nicely weighted and the lamp effectively provides multiple options for light temperature and intensity. The remote control is a must have as far as I'm concerned as the controls on the lamp are located on the top of the LED fixture. It's much easier to make adjustments using the remote. While the remote is magnetized, the slim upright of the lamp makes for a precarious mount. My only issue with this lamp was in the assembly. I had a difficult time gripping the thin gooseneck to allow enough torque required to attach the LED fixture. I ended up wrapping the gooseneck with some non skid shelf liner so my hand could maintain a firm hold on the lamp. Overall, I'm satisfied with the lamp and hope that it proves to be reliable. I got this more my elderly mother who has a hard time with turning lamp knobs. I put it beside her bed so she can use it overhead to read or soft warm light for relaxing before bed. It does get very bright and it’s easy for her to just side her finer across the top to turn on/off and adjust the light brightness and warmth. She loves it. It’s very sleek and modern (doesn’t really go with her “Silent Generation” style) but she’s happy with it so that’s all that matters to me. Oh and it’s bendable so she can turn it over to use as a room filling light (which isn’t hard, it’s bright!) or bend to whatever she needs. That was a bonus. Helps her distinguish black and blue socks in her drawer next to her bed. I’d say the price wasn’t an issue with all the things this thing can do and how it made her so happy. She reads books everyday and it’s perfect for that as well, she said she now needs more books to read now she has proper reading light. I’d venture to say this would be great in a craft room. Sewing room, kids room even. Would buy another if I find a space. Great find! Read more

Summary: Good quality light, but only useful as an arms reach task/reading lamp. Does not remember last settings if power is turned off/on. My use case: I was hoping this would be bright enough to light up about 80 sq ft little bedroom/office. I was going to use a power outlet tied to a light switch. It fails both. The manual has small text that is not old eyes friendly. Install is straightforward. Beware that you cannot unscrew the light portion that goes into the flexible neck! The power brick is two pronged for easy use. Entire lamp is relatively light with a sturdy base. Control panel is two touch points: one for on/off and one to cycle light color. When power is first plugged in, the lamp is off and the on/off touch point lights up. You have to touch it on to turn it on. If power is lost, the lamp does not turn back on after power comes back. Brightness can be adjusted by touching and holding the color control area. The warm white settings seems a lot dimmer than the other two. CRI of the light is great and helpful in being easy on the eyes for task duties or reading. Had I known all these things, I would not have bought this light. Read more
