Top is Barkeeper's friend, bottom is followed by Hope's. There is a slight difference in sheen but if you already have BF I would not run to buy Hope's. That said - it does polish very well, you can tell by the amount of black residue on the towel. I think it would work just as well on its own. One star for not removing the stains in the corner - the amount of elbow grease I put in to that has to be one star at least ;) Read more

We have a gloss black porcelain cast iron sink that gets dull after awhile . I bought this polish to clean and bring back the shine to the sink without harsh chemicals to scratch the surface . Works great on my Stainless Steel workstation sink. Make sure you follow the brush lines in your sink when you polish it. I clean, rinse and dry my sink daily and use this polish once a week. Bye Bye hard water spots and my sink looks brand new! Read more

I am extremely pleased with this cleaner for my large stainless steel kitchen sink basin. The sink is about 20 years old, and while we have always cleaned it well, it had developed a very dense hazy layer, likely from the hard water we have here. I have used other products before, including BKF, but I found Hope's to be superior. What I did learn is that if you have a very hazy finish, you are going to need to put in some effort. I polished once and could then easily see what needed some extra elbow grease. On my second round, I knew the areas that needed a bit of extra work, and after completion, the sink is sparkly and has a brilliant sheen. No more dull finish. No product works miracles! If you don't get the shine you want initially, go for a second time. After that, do regular maintenance and you won't need much effort in the future. I used a microfiber cloth on my first use, and used a scrub daddy sponge on subsequent cleaning. Do be sure to follow directions and rinse well with some soapy water, then a final rinse with plain water. If you don't rinse properly, you'll leave behind some cleaner.
