This is the best mattress cover I have used and I have tried many. I have three huge dogs who LOVE to roll around in the dirt, then straight to my bed. I bought a new and expensive mattress and was desperate for a good protector. All of the other ones I have tried either are uncomfortable and noisy, or don't work in the waterproof department. I've also had many covers that either a.) the zipper broke (if it covered the whole mattress) b.) the seams ripped on the part that goes down the sides c.) would not stay in place This mattress protector has alleviated all of those issues! Not only does it always stay in place, it is very comfortable to sleep on (under sheets, of course), AND it has been a lifesaver to my mattress! Sure it's not entirely waterproof. If you dump a bucket of liquid on it and let it sit there, it will eventually soak through. If not washed correctly, it will also begin to lose some of it's waterproofing abilities. But overall, this has saved my mattress from many wet, muddy paws, puppy pee, doggy vomit, and numerous spilled drinks. I am here to buy another one, not because of a product malfunction, but because one of my dogs decided to use it as a chew toy (don't ask)... So now it has holes in it - no fault of the product itself. I am VERY impressed and am purchasing one for each bed in my house. We have these on all of our beds and they are fantastic! So easy to put on (fits just like a fitted sheet) and my husband really loves the fact that it's not crunchy or plasticy. No noise when you roll over in bed and you can't even tell it's there under your sheets. My toddler took off her diaper and peed in her bed and the mattress was totally dry under the cover. I don't know how long the pee was there- she decided she wouldn't say anything and just went back to sleep on the floor. The toddler mind mystifies me, haha! The flat and fitted sheets were soaked and the wet spot was a good two feet around so I'm guessing it had some time for the cotton to wick up the pee, but nothing got through the mattress pad. I also love that they are machine washable and dryable. Cleaning up a peed on bed is enough work without having to worry about handwashing or hang-drying stuff. I can literally toss the entire pile in the washer and continue on with life! My only complaint - I can't seem to find these in king size. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I haven't had it for long, nor have I washed it yet, but right out of the box I was very happy with the packaging; once opened I was pleased there was no odor and it fit my bed perfectly and snugly (regular king). The backing certainly appears waterproof, flexible and washable. I wasn't looking for extra cushioning or support, but just a good waterproof mattress cover. All in all, for me this product seems to be a great combination of good quality and excellent price and just what I wanted. Read more

If you are looking for a very well made terry cloth protector that is quiet, deep pockets and I mean well made I believe anyone would be happy. These Twin XL mattress protectors are exactly what I needed for our plush King split bed with Ergo-motion. They fit the thicker mattress and do not come off when adjusting the bed to different positions (think hospital bed...only nicer). They have a nice terry cloth texture for absorbency and the waterproof backing is very pliable. It does not add to the warmth of the bed in any way (I am very heat sensitive) and no toxic smell. NOTE: will not add padding to your mattress...if that is what you are looking for, buy something else. I have this product on three beds in my house. I purchased them for my children's beds and they have remained on ever since. These products have been on the mattresses for 6 years in two cases and 3 years in the most recent. Two of the beds have been used by adult guests that have come to stay and they did not even notice that they were on the bed. Pros: 1.) It keeps the mattress and the foam topper dry 2.) They are easy to wash if needed 3.) They are comfortable to sleep on unlike the old vinyl covers (assuming sheets over-top) 4.) They do not make for a hot sleep experience 5.) They do not make noise when shifting positions or rolling Cons: 1.) Long term (multi-day) liquid exposure might cause a failure I will say that I do not dry them even though the manufacturer says it should be fine. I only air dry them after washing. They usually dry within a day. We have had one minor failure but I think that was due to an accident that went unnoticed because of an early morning trip departure (and my son not saying anything) and remained for a few days until we returned. We have never had a failure when the accident was rectified the next morning. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this product and its performance. Read more
