I want readers to know that the Hot Tools Pro Artist Hot air Styling brush is truly wonderful. I’ve been using this styler for more than ten years, and when my old one finally stopped working, I realized how much I relied on it. In the meantime, I tried using hair rollers on slightly damp hair and then blow drying, instead of a curling iron (which can damage fine hair). But that routine took me much longer to finish my style. So I decided to order another Hot Tools Styling brush —and I’m so glad I did. It works beautifully, just like before, and honestly feels like being reunited with an old friend. For women with fine, short to medium-length hair, I think this styler will be especially appreciated. It’s efficient, gentle, and delivers great results without the extra hassle. Read more

I've been using these hair styling tools for over 20 years! It used to be manufactured by Helen of Troy and I bought them from Sally Beauty Supply stores. Now, it is called "Hot Tools" and is sold through the Helen of Troy company in Texas. It has always been the same tool with some minor changes here and there. FIRST, you need to know it is NOT A HAIR DRYER! It is a hot air "styling tool". You can use it on your dry hair, or you can wash your hair and dry it with a dryer, leaving it damp, then use this styling tool. I buy the 1-1/2 " size because I want a more relaxed curl. My hair is very straight, thick, and finely textured. This tool makes it so easy for me to get ready in the mornings. I just grab a chunk of hair and count to 15 or more and release. I've never had it tangle my hair! I probably use it on 6 or 8 sections of my hair while counting to 15, each time and I'm done! Doesn't get much easier than that! The tool lasts a long time, 3 or 4 years, with daily use. You DO need to keep lint out of the air intake area at the end of the tool. I occasionally use a straight pin, with the tool off and unplugged, to gently lift out any lint that might collect there. It probably works best for short to medium hair. I've used it for both. I also used it on the ends of hair when I had long hair. You just can't wind your long hair around it. I highly recommend this great styling tool! Read more

The heat level could be higher. A little disappointing regarding the intensity of heat. Works pretty well… I think if heated up higher - would be a faster end result Read more

I do like this more than most, as it has decent force of air and enough actual heat to be effective. Also, the bristles/ teeth, have adequate strength and length to hold short, fine, limp hair so I can grab and hold enough to lift away from head and achieve a softer look. Like most, can't achieve the more lasting curl of small hot rollers. Not so big around that it only straightens short hair. Read more

I have fine hair that drys quickly cut into a short pixie. I wanted a small barrel blow dry brush and this is the ONLY one in 3/4 inch. You can find heated brushes this size but not blow dry brushes. It is the perfect size for me and I love the two heat settings. The issue is the little ring in the picture that is cracked is what keeps the brush barrel attached and it cracked is a cheap little peace. Mine broke in the first few months and now I have to hold it together when I use it. Read more
