I have FINALLY installed this recessed shower niche, and overall I am happy with the outcome. The sizing was accurate, and it holds at least 4-5 large bottles in it. Looks super nice, and so far I don't see any rusting. This was definitely much easier than trying to tile a niche. I am in the process of remodeling a bathroom, and this fits the bill. I built a stud box surround for the niche using the niche as the stud alignment tool to get a perfect surround fit with 90-degree angles. Unfortunately, I made the surround too tight, and the niche did not want to come out of the surround. A rubber mallet was employed to tap the niche out of the surround. The powder coat on the front of the niche did not chip or break, and the mallet did not cause any dents. However, some of the coating on the back side of the niche rubbed or scraped off on the studs during this process. I doubt the back side of the niche will rust once installed and caulked, but you never know. When building the surround, I would suggest using some cardboard as a spacer between the niche and the stud to avoid scraping the back side. Due to the niche width, 16-on-center studs needed to be cut in half for the required stud surround. In the process of centering the surround and cutting the existing wall studs, it became apparent that one wall stud was not attached to the drywall, and the other wall stud, supporting a shelf in a lined closet, was no longer attached to the wall stud, causing the entire shelf to fall down. This is a finished, no tile needed (I don’t want even more work in my home improvement projects!) niche that looks fantastic all on its own, and is easy to install. We are putting it in a bathroom to add a bit of design interest, and to have a place other than the vanity to put things like diffusers & candles to keep the clutter down. It’s solidly built, with a nice finish that looks fantastic. I believe you could paint it if you wanted, but depending on your aesthetic- it really doesn’t need it. Recommend. Read more

The quality and packaging are decent, so no concerns there. The reason for giving this 3 stars is because the color is supposed to be "matte black". Instead, this is stainless steel with a satin/semi-gloss translucent gray topcoat. It appears darker in my photo than what it is. There's no way this is going to match black bath fixtures or black tile trim. Read more

We're building a home, and this is planned for inside a tiled shower. It is sturdy and beautiful. The back is sprayed with a sealant that will deaden sound as well. We're excited to install this. Read more

I search everywhere for this stainless steel no tile needed shower niche. I have not installed it yet but I love it already. I wanted a shower niche that I didn't have to cover with tile. This shower niche is very large 12x24inches it looks bigger to me. It looks like it is fingerprint and waterproof resistant when I tested it out with a splash of water. The only con to this shower niche is there is no divider like the description and photo shows. However it feels durable and I'm definitely impressed and will be purchasing the smaller size 12x12 for another bathroom. I definitely recommend and I am so happy that after searching for so long , I finally found a no tile shower niche. Read more

This is an elegant minimalist take on the bathroom wall niche. Pros: 1. Looks great 2. Excellent storage that looks intentional instead of an afterthought 3. Strong material 4. Easy to maintain 5. The niche is easy to install the prepping the space for its insertion does take some skill. Cons: None I definitely prefer the look of this niche better than my old soap dish that was just stuck on to my shower tiles. Great product at a great price! Easy 5-star product! Read more
