I don’t enjoy waking up to a loud alarm, as I’d imagine most people would agree. I wanted to try this style of alarm clock but the name brand (Hatch) seems insanely priced. I settled on this clock from HOUSBAY and it has been great. It’s been reliable and has worked as expected every morning since I started using it. I like the wood look and that is has radio and bluetooth baked in (not really necessary but kinda nice). Most of all, I like that most mornings this gets me up before my alarm goes off so I’m not jolted awake by annoying noises. I set this to gradually get brighter over the course of 30 mins, and reach peak brightness about 10 mins before my alarm goes off on my phone. I’d say 9 times out of 10, I wake up to the light. Definitely worth the money if you are tired of loud alarms in the morning. Read more

I really like this clock, I don’t use it for the sunrise feature anymore but I love the light you can use that changes color. Sets a nice relaxing vibe when you’re winding down for the night. Read more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I've been using this alarm for about 3 months now and I have loved it since day one. I feel more rested and I enjoy my mornings. It's a peaceful easy way to wake up and I highly recommend. I chose this alarm because it was cute design and had many options including Bluetooth and dimmable numbers. I love a dark room when I sleep and this clock is perfect Read more

I like the color options the display has. I was worried that it wouldn't be bright enough to wake me up, but it is which is great. The faux wood grain looks a little cheaper than I was hoping, but overall it gets the job done. The speakers are really low quality though. I like to wake up to a radio station, but the speakers make it sound muffled and fuzzy. Read more

Does what it says it does well. The lighting is beautiful and calming. Wakes us up over a 30 minute window using light. We wish it had a sunset functionality, and it would be perfect. If that’s important to you, keep scrolling. Read more

I was skeptical. I can't lie to you. We had purchased something similar about a year ago. It was a disaster. This is great. It slowly simulates the sun rising. I love the AM/FM radio. It allows my child to still have music when I take her phone. The sound quality is as good as those old fashioned boomboxes we use to listen to. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Read more

I have some personal gripes about this sunrise alarm clock, but overall I like it a lot — as a person who does not require klaxons and sirens to get my morning started. The ups and downs: plus points • much more attractive as desk/nightstand accessory than I expected for a “fake wood” disk. • it provides a gentle way to wake up; in a dark room the rising light alone will wake me most days. • snooze is easy to hit; turning alarm off requires more attention. • the exotic bird song alarm is very pleasant; the regular electronic alarm beeps are fine if something harsher is needed. • the alarm volume can be set from very quiet to pretty darn loud. • the rising light period is adjustable. • I expected the amber on amber time display to be difficult in daylight, but it is quite visible. • left on, it makes a great nightlight — from bedside “starlight” level to walking about light for a large area. • FM radio reception in a fringe area is as good as my Midland weather radio. minus points • the “backup” battery just saves memory — does not run display or alarm. Still late for work. • there is no indicator that the backup battery needs replacement — probably be dead when you need it. • the AC/DC adapter is at the wall plug not inside the clock. • the AC/DC adapter sticks out 2” – exposed to damage from nightstand or bed pushed against. • the “bird/music” audible alarm is pretty awful, with an annoyingly clumsy loop transition. • listing suggests use as a reading light — nah, not without a whiteish light color option. • the “>” button does not seem to cycle stored radio presets, just advances tuning one step at a time. you decide • an AC powered alarm clock!?! Only if a power outage provides an acceptable excuse for tardiness. • the power cord is only 4.5ft long. • the radio as alarm is whatever station you have set — it would work for me. • the clock apparently runs on DC, but maybe too much for battery operation (5v 2.0A = 10w). • power rated at 10w but I test max 3w with max light & max volume alarm sounding (radio off). • no one thing is more complex than any digital device, but many options and controls at hand while half asleep… Read more
