I have never before utilized anything like this. I like the nice stretchy fabric from which these are made. They seem to be well made, and they seem as though they are definitely up to the task at hand. I used to wear a brimmed cap when outside around the yard, however I quit that particularly during the heat of summer. I was discovering that I would tend to sweat through the hats and that seemed to age them, and they would then end up looking more worn before their time. Yet, with not wearing caps, my very fine thin hair would end up getting blown around and look terrible, I would not mind that but living in town and with people stopping in, I decided that since I could not manage to keep my too-fine hair combed a windblown disheveled look was not sufficient. I decided that I should find something other than a brimmed cap to manage my appearance and perhaps keep the sweat out of my eyes. That is where these come in. I was able to try these out today. I took four ice cubes along with some cold tap water into a small bowl and put one of these into the water for a minute or so. I then squeezed out the excess water and put it on my head to try out. I rather enjoyed the refreshing feeling of the cool water on my head on a hot humid day like today! When I went outside and the breeze hit the cool dampened scarf, it was a very refreshing and cooling sensation that I liked. There is a bit of a learning curve in getting them on properly and tying them but that is simple. I am not at all sure that I Am sufficiently cool to carry the look very well, but I really did find the experience rather invigorating on a hot humid day like today. The fabric is thin and is very stretchy so is easy to fit around your head. After just a couple of minutes you cannot even tell you have them on given how light in weight they are. I do realize that some people wear these for beneath helmets and I am certain would work very well, given how thin they are. You could wear them without the need to wear a larger helmet due to their thinness. Another thing I like about their lightness and how thin they are is that one could take just a very few drops of soap in the sink and rinse them in the warm water to effortlessly launder them, squeeze them out, give them a rinse of clean tap water, and you could very easily wash 3 or more at a time in the sink, then hang them to dry. They would dry in mere minutes so that is what I plan to do. I would definitely give my full recommendation for these skull cap scarves. They are so lightweight and comfortable you will not even know you have them on your head within mere minutes. They will be incredibly easy to wash and hang dry. I plan to use these for cooling off and to try to not have myself appearing quite as disheveled as I can tend to look with my hair blown all around. These are pretty nice head wraps but more for colder weather. Fabric is like heavy t-shirt fabric. Love the assortment of colors as there were colors for my husband and colors for me so we both were able to get multiple selections from this collection. We use this type of wrap under our ATV helmets and I found these to be a bit hot here in the summer but definitely will be useful for winter months. They really didn’t absorb sweat quite as well as other wraps we’ve had that are made out of a cooling effect material which we really like for summer riding.
