Needed the USB-A port on my HP laptop for something else so needed to eliminate the wireless mouse. This one from HP is a great replacement for the one I have been using. It actually is slightly better ergonomically than what I have. A bit longer so it is more comfortable to use. The click on the left and right buttons is nice. Scroll wheel works great is nice and smooth. Has two buttons on the left side that shift right or left on the screen. This is proving very useful as well. Runs off 1 AA battery and a Duracell is provided. The instruction sheet is mostly pictorial and I found several of them a bit confusing but mice aren't complicated so no problems there. Pictures show to turn on blue tooth on the computer then press the button on top of the mouse for 3 seconds and it will pair with the device. I am running Windows 10 on an HP laptop and that didn't work. I simply started Settings, selected blue tooth section and clicked on the connect a new device button. After a few seconds the mouse was shown as an option simply clicked that and it paired no problem. Nice smooth motion on the mouse so works quite well. The various buttons can be programmed for other tasks but you have to download the software from HP's web site. I wasn't interested so haven't done so so don't know how well all of that works. The mouse has the capability to be paired with up to 3 computers and selection is controlled by a button on top of the mouse. I don't need to pair to other devices so haven' tried it but the button is conveniently located. Highly recommend that you consider this mouse if looking for one that uses blue tooth. Read more

Gets the job done perfectly using BT connection, no noticeable input delay, multiple device connectivity, only the essentials w/ a couple programmable buttons. The DPI is perfect for me, and it takes almost no time at all to get used to- I'm having noticeably less miss-clicks than my previous USB adapter mouse. it may be a bit fast if you're older and used to those snail-paced DPI wired desktop mice (like my Dad, haha). The silent clicks are perfect for an office or home setting, and I really like the top-off battery compartment rather than the typical "push & slide" ones which would occasionally come loose when travelling. This mouse is perfect if you want to use it at both home and office since it can connect and switch devices quickly and easily. I don't play video games on PC so I cannot testify to its performance in gaming- but if you're playing a high-precision ping-based online video game, the delay may become much more noticeable. Seriously, though, if you're looking for a affordable mouse that just gets the job done without any unnecessary frills or fuss- this is the one, I recommended it to a couple coworkers and they liked it way more than their previous mice as well! I've been using this HP 240 Bluetooth Mouse for a few weeks now, and it's been a fantastic experience. The setup was a breeze – I just turned it on and paired it with my laptop via Bluetooth 5.1, and it connected instantly. No dongles, no hassle! The mouse feels great in my hand, and the ambidextrous design is comfortable for long hours of work. The 1600 DPI tracking is super accurate and responsive, which is perfect for both my daily tasks and some light photo editing. The three buttons and scroll wheel all have a satisfying click and feel very durable. The black color and sleek design look really professional, and it's so nice to have a clutter-free desk without a bunch of wires. This is a simple, no-frills mouse that just works, and it works perfectly. For the price, you can't beat the quality and convenience. Highly recommend it! Read more

I have this great wireless mouse installed on my laptop. The laptop has built in Bluetooth, and installation was almost effortless. This mouse will stay installed on this machine. It is sensitive, and works on almost all surfaces (including my pant leg). The top plastic piece is the battery cover. The edges are a little too sharp for me, not sharp enough to cut. After some time using the mouse, I felt it was not as comfortable as other HP mice. If you are a lefty, the side buttons may be awkward. Remember to switch it off when not in use. Read more

I must admit, I'm a mouse user. I particularly like the fact that it connects to my HP laptop without needed something that goes in the USB port (and gets lost when I use the port for other things, making it cost-effective!). It's been reliable, the battery lasts a long time, and it hasn't minded being dropped a bunch of times. Read more

Other than that fact that I don't like loud clicking sound it generate during operation, it works flawlessly. I have 2 of them and connect both to two laptops and they switch back and forth without any hesitation. I can use either of these with either of laptop by one clip and it never fails to connect. You can customize the side buttons but it requires HP software to run the customized operation. Without software running it works with default settings. Battery life is pretty good. To further increase the battery life it had a mechanical power off switch which is easy to operate. Read more
