No support; Limited options for Resolution and Frequencies
The E190i has five presets for resolution and scan frequencies. If your graphics card matches one of the five, you're all set. The User Guide claims that you can enter and save ten custom settings, but offers no details on how to do that. [One of my systems didn't match; I was able to connect an older monitor (which automatically connected correctly) and see what settings it chose.] I tried to contact HP Support via their web page (to try to find documentation on how to make custom settings). [The URL in the manual was bogus/outdated.] The HP support page insisted on a serial number and product ID, but rejected the product ID (which I got off the sticker on the back of the two E190i monitors that I bought). The HP Support page wouldn't let me go any further without an acceptable PID. It also recommended logging in. I happened to have an account, so I did log in. It made no difference. So, depending on what you try to connect this to, you might be golden or you might find that you have a shiny new doorstop. Read more
Dual Monitor Display
Very nice monitor! My wife needed another monitor for her work computer (she uses dual computer monitors). This fit the bill and she loves it! Very slim and sleek profile and not that heavy. The LCD screen quality is very crisp, with bright and vivid colors. Hardly any heat is produced from this monitor. If you need a replacement monitor or another one for a dual display, look no further as this is an excellent buy for the price! Read more
