I am really impressed with this 2K webcam. The picture quality is sharp, colorful, and detailed, and the wide-angle lens captures a lot of space without any distortion. It looks great for my video calls and online meetings, and I have even used it for streaming with no issues. The automatic light adjustment works very well. Even when the lighting in my room changes, the webcam balances everything so my face always looks clear and natural. It focuses quickly too, so I do not have to sit still waiting for the image to sharpen. The built-in microphone does a great job of picking up my voice while reducing background noise. My coworkers and friends say I sound clear even when there is noise around me. The privacy cover is also a nice touch because it protects the lens and gives peace of mind when I am not using it. Setup was completely effortless. I just plugged it into my computer’s USB port and it worked instantly with no extra software needed. It is also compatible with multiple systems, which makes it very convenient if you switch between devices. Overall, this webcam offers great image quality, easy setup, and reliable performance at a very fair price. Perfect for work calls, online classes, or content creation. Read more

The Hprosper 2K Webcam is one of those gadgets that just quietly does its job really well. Setup couldn’t be easier—plug it in, and it’s ready to go. No software installs, no weird compatibility issues. It worked right away on both a Mac and a Windows laptop, which was a relief. The video quality is sharp and clear, and it instantly makes a difference on Zoom calls or livestreams. The wide-angle lens is a nice touch. It captures more of the space without making things look stretched or distorted. Whether you're on a solo call or sharing the frame with someone else, the Hprosper 2K Webcam keeps everything looking natural. The auto light correction is surprisingly effective too—it adjusts quickly when lighting changes, so you don’t end up in shadow or washed out. The built-in microphone is better than expected. It picks up voice clearly and cuts down on background noise, which is great if you're working from a busy home or shared space. You don’t need a separate mic setup to sound professional, which is a big plus. The Hprosper Webcam really nails the balance between simplicity and performance. It works smoothly across different platforms—Zoom, Skype, Teams, you name it. No lag, no glitches. The webcam just fits into your setup without needing extra tweaks. That kind of reliability is underrated, especially when you’re jumping between meetings or recording sessions. Design-wise, it’s compact and unobtrusive. It clips easily onto a monitor or laptop without getting in the way. The build feels solid, and it stays put even during long calls. The Hprosper 2K Webcam doesn’t try to be flashy—it’s just well-made and dependable. The Hprosper 2K Webcam with Microphone is a great pick for anyone who wants better video and audio without overcomplicating things. It’s easy to use, works across devices, and delivers consistently good results. Whether you're working, studying, or streaming, it’s a smart upgrade. Read more

It seems they have found a solution to very dark or yellow looking image quality with this webcam. Apparently they decided to jack up the white balance for the default settings so no more dark or reddish-yellow appearance like the 1080P cams do. The down side to that is the image quality appears washed out but that can be fixed by changing the “brightness and contrast settings” or disabling the automatic white balance and adjusting the “Gamma” setting (if possible with your software). Speaking of software, this webcam does not include any, nor do they provide a link to download software, so you will have to track down something that works for you and your OS. The Resolution options I get with Linux are 640x480, 600x800, 1280x720, 1920x1080 and 2048x1536. The 2 lowest resolutions are very grainy and I can’t seem much difference in the 3 highest options. 1280X720 gives you smaller viewing box while 1920x1080 and 2048x1536 tend to go full screen but no change in image quality. Pretty sad if you ask me. There is also a bit of fish bowl arc along the outer edges of the image when using it at higher resolutions as well. I wanted something to replace an old 1080p camera with wide angle that I could put in the window to watch deer and other wildlife outside and hopefully cover most of the yard. The angle is about the same but this cam does seem to have a little more coverage but only because the zoom level is farther out than my old 1080p cam that also has manual zoom, pan and tilt functions. The only thing I can do with this one is adjust the brightness, contrast, gamma, sharpness and focus with the same software I was using with the old cam that was purchased in 2014. For a new camera with alleged image quality improvements since these things came out, I expected way better image quality and more onboard functions, not less functions or worse image quality. It is nice that this cam can be mounted to a tripod for better stability and more adjust-ability since the preinstalled mount doesn’t give much options in where it can be mounted. There is no (or very little) tilt adjustment so where ever you plan to place it must be fairly flat and level already. Or use a tripod. I honestly dislike the fact that the camera can’t be removed from the factory base because of the limited adjust-ability which equates to very limited camera placement as well when a tripod isn’t available. The tripod that came with it is also extremely flimsy and the ball pivot would just barely lock to prevent it flopping out of place. Also the footprint of the legs is quite narrow, so not very stable either. For a low cost webcam, I guess this one isn’t all that bad but I still wouldn’t use it for business video conferences. It is an improvement over the 1080p cam I got earlier from the same manufacturer, but not better than the one I bought in 2014. Read more
