On my desk top I've been picking up and setting my keyboard off to the side all the time as I needed my desk surface for other functions. I'm asking myself how did I not think of this sooner? I just installed this keyboard tray. From the box to typing on it...15 minutes. Great quality, good solid construction. The tilt / hideaway function took a couple seconds to figure out. It swivels but I will never use that function. This is a really nice piece. If I had one thing to ask of this product... the keyboard tray... if it could be a few inches bigger each way that would be a bonus. I do not have one complaint! Super great! I noticed that some other keyboard/mouse trays were clucky sliding in and out. Not this one. It has wheels making the sliding motion smooth. It is solidly built with high quality. The tray is one piece not two pieces screwed together. The wrist pad keeps the keyboard and mouse in place, and 25" wide is the perfect size for me, fitting keyboard with numeric pad and mouse. There is no extra junk or trays hanging below it or off to the sides. Just a keyboard tray with plenty of knee room. Perfect! I love this tray. It is great when you buy something and it is not junk. Regarding the instructions, drilling 5/64" guide hole in a wooden desktop for the screw is too tight and will snap the screws, drill 7/64" instead. Read more
Well, this keyboard tray was obviously used and repackaged, even though I had ordered it new. The zipties were already severed and the mounting template was so bent out of shape, just seeing it already raised some red flags on the products overall quality. Still, the rest of it seemed accounted for and solid. Its big enough to fit a full keyboard and mouse. The instructions were clear enough that I was able to get it attached, even for an old and heavy wood desk like mine with a rather unique setup for my personal tastes. I work with a cyniq screen in a sitting position, so I needed a keyboard tray that would go all the way under my desk to give me room to use a stylus on my screen and still be easy enough to move in and out on a frequent basis to just use the keyboard in short spurts, like for labeling layers or taking quick notes in any digital art program I was using. So I needed something that was easy to move to where I need to and then put it back again a few seconds later. And would also hold up for frequent use. Sometimes I would even type on my keyboard or use the mouse while the tray was still all the way under my desk with my old keyboard tray. This new one seems to fit those needs and old habits of mine even with a little more resistance in the sliding than in my old tray. And still leaves room for my knees. (Though, do keep in mind, I am on the shorter side anyway, being 5'3" so do keep that in mind and pay attention to the desk height and thickness recommendations.) Having had a keyboard tray before for years, I was already aware of what I wanted out of a new one for my newest office arrangement. Nice, sturdy keyboard drawer. Seems to be very well built and is easy to install. Instructions could be a little better but I got thru it without too much trouble. I really like that it is adjustable so that it can be set at a height that is high enough to just barely clear the mechanism when stowing it and not so low it hits my legs when retrieving it to use the keyboard. Honestly this drawer is so mid. It’s not nearly stable or sturdy enough to use. I would return it if I still had the box. I installed it at the end of the day, didn’t like it, and was going to remove it the next day. My office got cleaned and box discarded. How unfortunate. Read more
This attached to the desk in a few minutes with a power drill. The zip ties were already cut so this was probably an item that was returned, but it had all of the necessary hardware and didn't show any signs of damage or wear. It seems very solidly built and gets the job done for me. Read more
Wish it was bigger, but my fault for picking the size. Slide is a bit stiff and the mechanism to hold the tilt and height gets loose and the position shifts with weight. Seems durable. Read more
