I’ve tried many different brands of anti-fatigue mats and have to say this one blew the others out of the water! Stepping on this mat was more than your typically cushioned mat. It felt similar to stepping onto a gym mat - you know the kind that is supposed to protect the athlete from a fall in practice? It’s slightly stiffer version of that (meaning the sides don’t flip up no matter how close to the edge you stand). Also, the whole thing stays in place. No amount of accidentally kicking the edge will create a tripping hazard. It feels much sturdier overall than others I’ve tried, too, so I don’t expect chunks of it will chip off. Factory photo (3rd photo) shows clean beveled edges, but in reality they are unfinished-looking and wavy. Zoom in on my 2nd photo to really see how rough it is. Spongy cushioning.
