I have several different boleros to wear with sleeveless dresses and tank tops. All of my boleros fit in a similar way, which is that it covers the arms and shoulders, but leaves the chest partly or mostly exposed. I was surprised that some people were not happy with that kind of fit, because that's how all my boleros are made. This is not a sweater that you can pull closed at the front. The material is silky and very thin and works great for summer weather. It does wrinkle easily if you don't pull it out of the dryer quickly. I purchased it a size larger than usual since some reviews said the fit was small, however I wish I had gotten it in my regular size. I wanted it to be short, just under the breasts, and fitted in the arms and shoulders. Buying a size up made it hang a little loosely, although I still like it and have worn it multiple times. Overall, works great for the price and looks attractive with sundresses or tank tops. I purchased this shrug for my daughter to wear over a sundress she wore on a school trip. The material is lightweight (kind of like at t-shirt) and didn’t wrinkle in her suitcase. The fit was true to size and hasn’t shrunk or faded after multiple washes (cold water and tumbled dry). 15yr old girls can be really picky about their fashion and this shrug fits the bill. I ordered this in white to wear over sleeveless sundresses in the summer to make them work appropriate but not add too much weight for hot summer days, and it serves its purpose. The material is like a silky cotton (modal) but also very thin which is good for hot days, but also pretty see-thru. The piece as a whole really isn't a lot of material: it's shorter in the back that any other shrug I've seen, sleeves are pretty short, and it doesn't cover anything in the front, so if you're looking for a lot of coverage, I suggest going elsewhere. Out of the package it had an awful plastic smell and was wrinkled, so I washed it right away (gentle cycle) and dried flat (says not to tumble dry), and it's maintained the quality. For the price, I've satisfied. For sizing, I'm in between a medium and large tops depending on the cut, so I got a large to be on the safe side. It fits a bit snug, so definitely go up a size if you're unsure. Overall, if you're looking for a light summer cover-up, this is a good option. If you're looking for something that's a thicker material that will keep you warm, look elsewhere. Read more

The goal of this purchase was to find something thin and lightweight that doesn't clasp in front or have loose fabric hanging at the sides. It covers my upper arms and is short in the back which is exactly what I wanted. Perfect addition to my wardrobe of shorter sleeved dresses that I feel too exposed in. Purchased in multiple colors! Great product. Lightweight fabric so hopefully not too hot. Needed something to help give my sleeveless dresses a little more formal of a feel for work and this totally fits the bill. I'm a petite 5'3" 150lbs with average shoulder span and I got large in the dark colors but x-large in the white. I'm usually a small, maybe medium; these appear to be juniors sizes so you do need to size up just a bit. Expect just a tiny tiny bit of shrinkage after initial wash and hang dry so keep that in mind if you're between sizes. HDE brand has the long sleeve version of this same shrug and I have it too but in x-large due to wanting more room in the long sleeves than I need with short. Read more

I have been looking all over for this piece! I had purchased a similar item previously from another manufacturer, but hardly war it because it was too heavy of a material. I am older, and my arms are not as toned as they used to be. I have tons of sleeveless tops that I have not been able to wear for years for fear of showing my arms. This looks so cute with any of them, and is light weight and breathable enough to wear in Summer. I washed it and accidentally dried it, and it did not shrink, and stayed soft and light. LOVE IT! This is an ok sweater. I got it to try to hide my upper arms a bit and I wish I had got a bigger size maybe ir one with more sleeves. It fits nice and looks nice. It doesn't come around my chest really at all, which I wasn't expecting but have adjusted to. Also it has a tiny hole in the back and since it's knit in not sure how much longer it will last. I have worn it 5 or 6 times and laundered according to care instructions 3 or 4 times. It's nice enough just not exactly what I wanted. Read more
