This little ion ball fish so far seem to be helping with our humidifiers as you can see we put two in the large humidifier. We were really getting a lot of white film on literally everything in the house when this happened last year we had no idea what it was, and we had just moved into our home a year before and we started to get this white dusty, looking film on literally everything in the house. We had no idea what it was so we were changing furnace filters and cleaning constantly thinking it might’ve been ceiling dust from when the house was built things like that, after some research, we find out it’s from the humidifier itself and the chemicals that come out from the water Now to run these humidifiers onto distilled water would be very expensive in time so our tapwater, which is extremely hard we need something to help clean up the chemicals that are in it well so far these fish seem to be helping. It’s not as bad as it had been so I put a second one in to see if that will help we have extremely cold weather. That’s very dry right now much more than last year and so the humidifiers are having to run quite a bit we have two running, but we do have a third one if we need it, but as I pointed out, the one in the photo is a larger one so so far so good. The dust look has faded quite a bit within one day so we will be diligent about using these little fish and hope for the best. Read more

These cute little fish are a must have for humidifiers. I run a few in my house and each has one. They help to demineralize the water, leaving no white residue on surfaces. They are especially helpful with keeping the tank clean longer. I noticed the base of humidifiers would get slimy with black and pink mold. These really help with reducing that and it makes it much easier to clean. All you need to do is drop one in the tank and let it do its thing. They last quite a while and are with every penny. These little fish are incredibly easy to use—you simply drop one into your water tank, and it immediately goes to work demineralizing the water and preventing "white dust" caused by hard water. We use our DAJDAH Universal Humidifier Tank Cleaner Fish in our fairly large humidifier and have begun to see results in less than a week. The humidifier is near the living room entrance and in the past we've had fine white mineral dust on the TV, pictures, artwork in the bookcase, shelves, etc. We cleaned everything (including the humidifier) before putting a fish in with fresh tapwater, and although we've been watching for it, the mineral dust has not reappeared. Maybe just as importantly, the interior of the humidifier is staying clean without the mineral buildup we used to have to clean. We are delighted with this product. Read more

Although we haven't used this product for very long, I found it somewhat annoying that there were essentially no instructions accompanying it other than soak it for 10 minutes, put it in the tank and don't let the kids get ahold of it. It would be nice to know how often to replace or how much water of what degree of hardness it can treat before needing to be replaced. It seems like there are no visual indications of change in the fish to know that it's time to renew it. Read more

Puffer fish - cuteness! I really can't say if these work well or not, it would take a whole season to see how long one lasts and if it's putting out the dreaded white powder (I have very hard water). So far the tank is pretty clean but I only have one in a smaller 2.5L Cool Mist humidifier so I have to refill it about daily anyway. They are certainly easy to use, look to be of good quality, they fit in my smaller humidifier just fine (but mine is the kind where the whole lid comes off for easy cleaning and refilling), you get 12 so they should last quite a while, and the current price is OK @ $16.99 tho you should shop around for the best price if you get these. I don't have fish so I can't comment on using them in a fish tank, that seems kewl ... but be careful to read the instructions and the 'fine print' to be sure these are safe for your fish! Overall, I'm happy with them. If there's anything else remarkable I will come back and update ... but ... so far so good. DISCLAIMER: I got this product for free via Amazon's Vine Voice program. This 12-pack of humidifier cleaning fish has been helpful because I use several humidifiers around the house. The fish are lightweight and drop easily into different tank sizes. I like that they help limit mineral buildup, so the tank stays clearer between cleanings. They don’t take up much space, and the soft material feels gentle on the inside of the tank. I usually use them in my living room and office humidifiers, and they sit at the bottom without interfering with water flow. They also reduce the smell that sometimes appears when water sits for too long. Having many in one pack makes it simple to replace them whenever I want. It’s an easy way to keep multiple humidifiers cleaner without extra steps. Read more
