Very unexpected results. I’ve been using this for a week now and when I use it in the shower with shave gel it gets a super close shave on my head. I have thick course hair and it goes right through it. I use it everyday because it only takes a few minutes. I like this product for its convenience and its solidity. I wish I could say this was the best head shaver ive ever had but that really wouldnt be true. Its great in between shaves but especially for people of African decent, once the hair starts to lay down or curl, it pulls and causes in grown hairs. Its much better than using a foil razor. Before you start, if you are bald meaning male patter baldness (large part in the middle of your head and the hairs are very short) this won't fix that. I wound up going to a barber who offically shaved my head with shaving cream. Then I went home and after about 3 days I starting feeling the hairs come back. Then I used this shaver and it worked well. The annoying problem that I have with this shaver is the recharge procedure. They supply a cable that is USB-C to USB-C. It should have come with an adaptor. At my house I have regular US standard outlets and the large USB jacks. I could have lived with any of that but now I have to buy an additional part. In all fairness the description says it comes with the cable that I got but I didn't see this coming. I have bought many a shaver in my lifetime and everything I needed was in the box. Read more

So I have been shaving my head for over a year now and have tried several different branded head shavers. All of them were just ok but never gave me that consistent head shaver with no irritation. Even though it was more expensive and I had to order it to ship to Canada, with exchange etc, I pulled the trigger. The reality is, they all may be made in same factory, but hummingbird obviously cares about quality control, because this razor was worth the extra money than the knock offs. It gives a decently close shave, not razor close, but close enough. It’s super easy to clean and looks cool. I’ve used it now every 36 hours for 3 weeks, and it just keeps getting better and closer, as my technique improves. I highly recommend you give the name brand MK3 stealth a try and use it for at least a few weeks to get used to the technique. It’s a completely different way to shave and has a bit of a learning curve. I’m so glad I went with the Hummingbird and the case is gorgeous. Worked well at first but now squeaks. Difficult to clean under the blade head even with compressed air. The squeaking appears to come from the blade head even and it seems to jam or stop rotation of the one of the heads. Not a bad shaver if you have the time to properly clean it. Otherwise get something else. Read more
