The mats seem kind of a hard consistency, but otherwise they're very nice. Perfect fit for my 2001 Tacoma base. I haven't had them long enough to know if they'll last, but if they do, I'll consider them a good buy. Read more

I got these floor mats to go in my '95 Toyota Tacoma to protect the original carpet from mud, dirt, and snow. While older, the truck is in great shape and just because it is now doubling as a job-site truck as well as daily driver, I don't want it to get trashed. Bottom line: These are terrific floor mats that offer great protection for the flooring, look great, and fit like they came direct from the car's manufacturer. Here are main points based on my experience with the product while commuting as well as transferring from my shoes many pounds of grit, mud, dirt, and debris: Pros: * Perfect fit - Husky really did a nice job with the size and shape of these mats: The fit is spot-on. I was concerned that the fit would be off, given that my truck is slightly older - I needn't have been. The nibs on the bottom are stiff and effective at keeping the mats in place no matter how many times I get in or out of the car. I am impressed that every bump and contour of the floor is matched by this mat. Being semi-rigid, this mat would not mold to fit contours if they hadn't already been moulded-in. Nice. * Durable - While the description claims that these mats are rubberized plastic, they seem more plastic than rubber to this reviewer. That's fine, as I believe the slightly harder material stands up better to heavy work boots carrying lots of dirt, gravel, and grit. Indeed, these mats have worn very well over time with no cracks, creases, punctures, or signs of severe wear. At most, they acquire a slight patina where my heels normally rest but that's a good thing: Despite having a diamond plate-style texture embossed on the mats, the surface is relatively hard and slightly shiny; with wear, they become slightly less slippery. Overall, they've earned top marks for durability and I expect they would last longer than softer mats with deep ridges that would tend to collapse over time. * Protection - Never having been breached by cuts, breaks, or punctures, these have protected the carpet extremely well. In addition to the physical barrier, the precise moulding keeps gaps between the mat and carpet to a minimum, keeping finer particles from slipping under the mat and causing wear. While I have dumped considerable water on these from my shoes, I do feel they could form more of a well to contain large amounts of spills or melted snow. Still, nothing has every leaked from the edges so I consider protection top-notch. * Maintenance - Keeping these mats is a snap: Just pull them out, dump out the big stuff, and hose them off... Presto! If you really want them to sparkle, I suppose you could take a bristle brush to these along with soapy water. It's OK, they'll take it. * Style - Is decent. They do come in a couple of different colors, which is nice, though I prefer basic black. The custom fit helps them look like they are really are an original part of the truck. Cons: * Price - As nice as they are, I feel they are fairly pricey for what is basically a single sheet of moulded plastic intended to get dirty and this is the reason why I rate these at four stars. Unfair? Perhaps. The product warrants five stars, but I still have to pay for it and for this reviewer the cost affects the value proposition. While I wouldn't consider this a bargain, I still think it represents decent value especially when considering its effectiveness and durability, and the fact that you are likely to save coin in the long run from not having to shampoo your carpet. One also has to consider that these are priced competitively with others, and even lower than some; in that context, these mats really do offer decent value considering their fit and performance. * Coverage - This is a nitpick and not part of my rating (five stars for the product, less when considering the price) but I think the mat could have flared up the side of the center hump a bit farther, offering more protection. Coverage is excellent as it is, mind you, but this reviewer would still prefer another inch or two of protection. As a note, I haven't seen that competitors to this mat go any farther up the center hump, either. Based on my use of these floor mats, I would not hesitate to buy them again, and will be getting these for my other vehicles if they need the additional protection. Recommended! Read more

I installed these mats about a year and a half ago in my '99 Tacoma. They are an excellent product: extremely durable, easy to clean, great warranty, and made in the USA. They hold a lot of water from snowy boots, and have a great fit specific to your vehicle. The only negative is that the outer corners can curl up a little(only looks, not a function problem). *Compared to Weathertech* - I own one of each brand (Weathertech in Camry, Husky Liners in Tacoma). PROS - The Weathertech mats look better, they are a thick plastic that has a rubbery plastic on top of it, they seamlessly blend into an interior. CONS - Not a very good warranty, will slide easily and bend if carpet hooks are not able to to hold them still, about double the price of Husky Liners. *Verdict* - Both are very very good mats. You will not go wrong with either one. Don't even fool with the Autozone/Wal-Mart mats, pick one of these two brands and be satisfied. Read more
