The media could not be loaded. My purses have always been on the smaller side, but I'm finding as I get older that I need to carry more stuff around with me (why yes, I do need three pairs of glasses at all times). My old purse wasn't cutting it. I wanted a shoulder bag that was bigger than my purse, but not as large as a full-size messenger bag This bag is perfect! It's plenty big enough for all my junk but not so large that it feels excessive. The fabric is a sturdy canvas, and all the seams inside are covered with a ribbon bias tape. There is one large main compartment that zips closed. Inside the main compartment are two small pockets, one of which has a zipper. There are also open pockets on either end of the bag for a water bottle. I agree with other reviewers that the following would be nice additions or improvements. I won't deduct stars for things that are in the product description and I knew going in, but these may influence whether this is the right purchase for you: • The strap hardware is plastic. It's thick plastic, and I think it looks good, but others may disagree. It gives it a unisex vibe. I did not have any difficulty adjusting the strap. • The outer flap just hangs. There's no attachment securing it to the bag at the bottom. The flap's sole purpose seems to be decorative, plus it hides the zipper. This doesn't really bother me; I had a similar bag once with a magnetic button for the flap and I was always fiddling to close it. Plus it didn't really add any functionality, it just made the flap feel less flappy. But it's worth noting, since it might bug you. • The water bottle pockets on either end are both open. It might be nice if one of them had a button so you could use it as a secure pocket for smaller things, like a phone. • The interior pockets aren't very large, so if you need lots of dividers, you might need to add them. For my needs, though, it's perfect: big enough to carry lots of stuff without looking huge, and with a cute and casual vibe. Would order again. Read more
