This jacket fits great and feels very well made. The quality of the material is solid, and it feels durable without being stiff or uncomfortable. The Cordura textile feels like it will hold up well for regular riding. The CE armor is well placed and adds confidence without restricting movement. It’s comfortable on longer rides and looks good both on and off the bike. Overall, this jacket exceeded my expectations for the price. Very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, good-quality motorcycle jacket. Read more

I'm a big fan of this jacket; well constructed, adjustable and snug fit, looks good and all for an affordable price. Waterproof: I've rode several times in the rain now- nothing torrential but enough to test the waterproof ability of it and so far I've kept nice and dry. Comfort: I find this jacket really comfortable, it has adjusters at the cuffs, biceps, waist and bottom so you can get a nice tight fit everywhere. I'm 6' tall, 165lbs (long lean build) and I ordered the small and it fits perfect. I'm also able to wear 2 thermal layers and an insulated vest underneath for the cold, which can be a little bulky but not uncomfortable. Temperature ranges: The waterproof-ness is built into the jacket, meaning there is no waterproof liner to remove. In cooler conditions this is no problem, but anything above 80F will slowly cook you alive, even with all the vents open and the zipper down. Especially if you get off you bike and hike a short distance, you will be literally pouring sweat out of this thing. On the flip side I've worn this with the quilted layer, a vest and 2 thermals down into the 30F's and its kept me warm. Basically- not a summer jacket. Other features: the pockets are generous, only 1 zippered pocket on the inside. Quilted liner has a cellphone pocket which is nice. I think a good upgrade would be to add zippered pockets on the side of the lower front pockets. The vents are ok but then again I'm not entirely sure they do very much, as I think they're located on the outside of the waterproof layer. Overall: I think this is a great jacket and very affordable considering the quality you're getting. I look forward to updated versions in the future perhaps with different designs or color options. I’m on the market for a new jacket because I lost weight and it’s time to retire my HWK jacket. No jacket is perfect, but for the price point, it’s definitely a great jacket. You’ll sweat in it in the summer on the hot days, but it’s warm in the winter. Vent zippers aren’t good but main zipper is fine. Velcro still works great after 5 years. I put in my own armor, but that’s true for all gear I buy. Read more

This is a great choice for a new rider like me. Its not leather but the heavy abrasion resistant fabric is a reasonable alternative. The removable liner and multiple vents helps make this a practical year-round jacket. Lots of storage and my riding friends think its good to have the contrasting white and black material. I definitely believe this is a great value and a good start into protection (pads included) Read more

I am 5'7" and 165 lbs. I wear a 16/32 shirt and a 40 suit jacket. The small size fit me best and placed the soft CE armor in the right places. I originally got the Medium and used it on an 1,100 mile, four day tour through Utah and Arizona. Temps ranged from below 40F to the low 90's. I didn't use the decent quilted liner, as I prefer to select my own underlayers. I found the jacket to be fairly comfortable at the whole temperature range and the venting to be as effective as might be expected. Fortunately/unfortunately, I didn't encounter any rain, so I cannot give my first-hand account on that issue. While the medium jacket appeared to be correct by the sizing chart, it was larger than expected. Whereas the style is fairly long-bodied, this resulted in a lot more bunching of the zipper flap up front and pushed the stiff, velcro collar closure up under my jaw. I don't have a tank protector, so the cordura left some minor markings on the clear coat that need to be buffed out. The top of the collar began to irritate my throat after a few hours of riding, such that I put on a neck gaiter just to buffer it. After that ride, I returned the M for an S, which fits ideal. While I haven't yet tested it on the road, the dimensions are much better for me. I own other jackets from Tour Master and Pilot which cost far more than the HWK. I found the HWK gear to be of equal quality in construction and materials and to have some thoughtful design features that made it more versatile. I think my pillion is going to like having that large pocket on the back where she can store her phone and maybe some road snacks. Overall, I can recommend this product as an exceptional value. This will be my cold/moderate weather jacket moving forward. I live in the Mojave Desert, so I think it will be rested for the summer months. Read more

Very good product, I initially bought an extra large as that is what I normally wear, but returned that and got a XX large and it fits perfect. I didn’t like the feeling of the back pad that is in there so I took that out but overall it keeps you very warm just riding with a T-shirt underneath at 50 degrees, but it will definitely be hot in the summer. Absolutely would buy again if needed. Read more
