First Impressions: Advantages: 1. This is the only scooter with a removable battery. This is critical if you want to take a scooter on an airplane since this kind of battery can only be carried on board, not sent through checked luggage. 2. This seems to be the only double fold scooter. While a single fold scooter could fit in your car trunk, it’s doubtful two such scooters and luggage would fit. The compact size also makes it possible to pack in a large suitcase for air travel. 3. The front light is huge and illuminates a large area. 4. The deck is covered with a sandpaper like material, which should be the least slippery of all surfaces. 5. The flat part of the deck is 19” long, which is 2” longer than the single fold scooter I originally bought. That extra 2” means my feet can both face forward instead of angling them on the single fold scooter, which makes it more comfortable to ride. Drawbacks 1. The key drawback is the lack of a convenient handle to carry the scooter. For a single fold scooter, the front bar is a convenient carry handle when the scooter is folded. There is nothing like that on this scooter. Imagine trying to carry a 22 lb briefcase without a handle! Carrying it on your hip is rather awkward. The manufacturer should find a way to add a handle. Since this is the only double fold scooter with a removable battery on the market, I decided to keep it and make my own handle as shown in the picture. (I scavenged some blue 2” webbing from an old duffle bag. To make it balance, I found the front supporting loop should go above the folded rear wheel and the back supporting loop should go under the whole scooter). 2. The black, plastic rear fender is likely to get scratched over time, either by resting your foot on it or when it drops onto the ground while unfolding the deck. I put a piece of black gorilla tape there to try to protect it. Better solutions would either cover the entire bumper with rubber or add a rubber bumper. It would be ideal if this rubber bumper could hold or include a red flashing light for night safety. 3. The instructions were not written by a native English speaker, so were a little hard to follow. In particular, there aren’t any instructions on how to connect to Bluetooth. After turning on Bluetooth on your phone, turn on the scooter, press the red Bluetooth icon in the upper left, then select the scooter. Unfortunately, you must do this every time you turn on the scooter. 4. My other scooter has a double lock mechanism to keep the post locked in place. This scooter uses a single lever, which might theoretically open. I’m not sure if this will be an issue or not. 5. My other scooter sends a warning message if the scooter starts moving when it’s locked. This scooter doesn’t have a similar antitheft feature. Read more
