This does everything it promises- Keeps cold drinks cold all day, ice frozen and all. I have also kept tea in there, and it was still hot after 8 hours. I love the straw, it makes everything so easy. The straw never detaches like another brand I tried. It doesn't sweat or have any condensation, UNLESS it is upside down, then the black top part does have some condensation. But NO leaking even when upside down. It's amazing. My favorite part- it's so easy to clean. A previous brand I tried got disgusting and moldy because the soft plastic pieces wouldn't come clean. I very much enjoyed the hydroflask water bottle. It was of high quality and the paint stayed on very very well. It keeps things cold for an acceptable amount of time. You might want to keep it safe because it dents fairly easy, I was quite disappointed when I dropped it and it dented. The color is very vibrant and smooth, I quite like the light blue color I chose! I ALWAYS have water on me, no matter what or where I go, I always would have a Nalgene bottle that I filled two-thirds full the night before and froze. I actually had 4 different bottles that I would rotate so I always had one ready and available. I would take it out in the morning and fill the remainder with water, and I would have ice cold water all day long....or at least, until it started to melt, hence the reason I had multiple bottles that I could switch out when it wasn't cold anymore. I had been told for quite some time now that I should get a Hydro Flask, but I liked my frozen bottles, I didn't think I would like the Hydro Flash as much as my system, that it wouldn't be cold enough. And the cost made me hesitate as well. I finally broke down and bought one about a week ago, and now I see what all the hype is about. NOTE: if you want ice cold water, you need to put ice in it, but it absolutely stays that way for a LONG time. The first day I used it, I just put water in it and stuck it in the fridge overnight, thinking that would get it how I like it, but it does not. The temp the liquid is when you put it in the bottle is the temp it will stay. So once I realized that, I just filled up the bottle with ice and then add my water, and it's perfect all day long. I don't have to refill the ice too often, it's only about a quarter to half melted by the next morning. There's a part of me that still misses my frozen bottle, but it never stayed like that for too long, especially if there was a fan on blowing against the bottle (I often keep a fan pointed at me when I'm at work because my office gets very warm in the afternoons). Plus, the Hydro Flask doesn't have ANY condensation, so I don't have to put my bottle on a coaster or paper towel or whatever. Definitely worth the buy!!! Read more
I love Hydroflask. The quality of these bottles make them worth every penny. Put in ice water...It will stay nice and cold all day long, even if left in a hot car. I also love this size which keeps me from having to constantly refill but is still reasonable for carrying around in a backpack, purse or throughout the day at work. The only reason for 4 Stars vs 5 is that I didn't like this lid AT ALL. The drinking mechanism seems ridiculously slow, even for the kids, so I would opt for the regular lid over this one any day. These bottles are amazing! Today is really the first day I had a chance to use mine. I was out in the garden for four hours, purposely leaving it in the sun to “check it out”. I had almost the same amount of ice as I did when I started, and it was hot today. Then I had to go to town and do some errands, leaving in the hot car between stops. I had very cold water to drink all day! When I got home at 7:00 tonight, I still had a bit of ice in it... I wanted a bottle that would guarantee me cold water and I found it!! I can put ice to the rim of this bottle and fill with water and have it still be cold for at least 12 and likely 24 hours later (really happened)! If you are looking for a bottle that maintains cold temperatures look no further! This bottle is worth the price. I have not tried it with hot liquids but I am guessing it will perform as well. Also, as I carry it around in every day life all day, I can say it has not leaked one time. I am so thankful to have found this gem and do not regret the money I spent on it.
