Update: A typically non-sensitive person with no known allergies developed a rash after two consecutive days of wearing a patch of this on their nose. The bandage roll arrives in sturdy ziplock bag. It's resealable for storage, but it voids the claim on the packaging that these are 'sterile'. They are hence only suited for benign wounds and this should be clarified by the seller. The moist gel environment can help low and moderately exudative wounds heal faster. Such are small scrapes, shallow cuts, pressure sores or a small burn. It may help reduce scaring, looks inconspicuous and is relatively pain free to remove, which is popular with children. They cut well for smaller wounds and joint coverage. We believe they'd help to prevent blisters on feet when well fitting socks and shoes are temporarily not an option, but don't think they will hold up on working hands. β οΈ Avoid use on deep, severe or surgical wounds, which risks bacterial contamination. Consult a physician if in doubt. Clean any wound first and treat skin against bacteria, e.g. with soap. Let skin dry for good adhesion. The bandages adhere well, but do not reapply well once removed. They can stand a brief shower, but please replace when water begins to creep under the edges to avoid bacterial proliferation. They have a bit of stretch for comfortable movement, but avoid application under tension. Hydrocolloid bandages have a water impermeable outer layer and a hydrophilic inner layer that reacts with wound exudate to produce the moist gel environment. Description and packaging do not state what this particular bandage is made of, so people with particular sensitivities should look elsewhere. Read more

** This item was received through the Vine program for no cost but requires all reviews to be accurate and honest. Ethically, I note any negatives aspects as truthfully as any positives. ** Product Name: Medical Grade Hydrocolloid Tape Use Info: Adult Human Overall Review: I requested this product for a very simple reason: First Aid is good to have on hand. In the end, it was fortuitous that I had just gotten this roll of hydrocolloidal tape because I ended up burning the outer side of my forearm on a furnace pipe. OUCH! After icing it off and on most of the first day and putting some basic first aid cream on it, I decided to try using some of this hydrocolloidal tape. It was perfect for this use. I cut a couple strips large enough to cover the burned area and covered with some dressing, so it didn't stick to everything. This helped IMMENSELY in so many ways. The bandage kept the wound from hurting when I tried to sleep by keeping it from rubbing on sheets and blankets. The bandage, and the little cushioning of the tape helped stop it from hurting as much every time I had to rest my arm on a desk, laptop edge, etc. I had previously found that using some HA serum on burns tends to help my burns heal faster (maybe the extra hydration?) and I found the combination of the two to really speed the healing of this ugly burn. I give this item high marks for protecting wounds, sores, and blisters as well as the added benefit of the hydrocolloidal treatment. I definitely want to make sure to always keep some of this in my first aid supplies. And for the amount of take you get, plus the flexibility to cut it to shapes as needed, I think this is a good value for the money. Pros: - - - Cons: - - - Read more
Hydrocolloid tape is a very good way to dress small wounds after cleaning them up. I like that they form more of a moist seal that doesn't stick to the wound. They also stay on longer and based on personal experience, I agree they help you heal faster. This roll is easy to cut in the size of your choosing. It attaches to the skin very securely and I've never had an issue with them staying attached. Definitely keep these handy on your person and in the medicine cabinet. Read more
