I have very sensitive skin and most aftershaves either sting, dry me out, or make redness worse. This one does the opposite. It goes on light, absorbs quickly, and immediately calms my skin after shaving. No burning sensation at all, even on my neck. Redness settles down fast and my skin feels hydrated instead of tight or sticky. I also really like that it’s unscented and made with clean ingredients. Being EWG Verified and rated Excellent on Yuka was a big reason I tried it, and it hasn’t disappointed. It feels more like a soothing skin treatment than a traditional aftershave. My husband can get really bad irritation when he shaves, so I was excited to give this aftershave a try. The product does give him some hydration, but it dries down so it’s not oily or sticky, so he likes it because it doesn’t feel noticeably different when he applies it. The pump is easy to use and it dispenses enough in one pump to apply on his lower face, so I feel like it’s not wasting product unnecessarily. He also likes the scent, since it’s pleasant but not overpowering. Most importantly, he did find that it made a drastic difference in how his skin felt after he was done shaving, and I could see the difference as well. He had much less redness and no bumps or other irritation compared to how he normally looks after shaving. Full disclosure: I’m a woman, not a man. I used this on my legs and bikini line after shaving. It felt soothing and moisturizing, and didn’t have a particularly strong scent; no irritation despite the freshly shaven skin. The texture is somewhere between a gel and a cream. Currently priced at $36ish, it’s slightly pricy but not outrageous compared to other similar gels/creams meant for the face. The packaging looks very nice; it’d make a nice gift for a man who wants or needs to up his skincare game without a lot of fragrance and foofaraw.
