For inexpensive wool socks these have worked better than my expensive smartwool socks for keeping my feet warm while skiing and staying up on my calves without sliding down. They seem pretty well made and the padding on the shin is not too thick so I dont notice it under my boots. They are about as thin as my other ski socks which is critical for a tight boot fit. My husband and I wore these while working 8-10 hour shifts as a delivery driver with Amazon and these WORK! We had a pretty big snow storm recently and these definitely kept our feet warm and... no wet socks! yay! the quality is really good and they're pretty soft. they go up to right under my knees and they're pretty tight so they feel like compression socks as well which is a plus! compared to a lot of my other socks, I really like how they don't fall down or anything. They're a little pricey, but so worth it! Read more

Merino is magic! I can remember thinking “wool is wool right?!” I was wrong! I’m regretful I didn't know what I know now about quality merino wool especially when it comes to socks. I bought these to wear on cold weather motorcycle rides. I like the hight. They come all the way up and cover my calves. They are toasty warm without all the bulk so way more comfortable inside my riding boots! Read more

These socks are extremely comfortable. I have worn them about 10 times skiing and they keep their shape and do not stretch out. I might add, they keep my feet nice and warm. My main reason for ordering these socks was because they advertise that they had a targeted padding on the front shin. They have almost no padding on the front shin area. The padding consists of maybe two layers of sock material. Otherwise, than that, I wholeheartedly recommend this sock and will continue to use them. But like I said prior, they offer almost no padding for the front shin area while skiing. Read more

The Hylaea Merino Wool Cold Weather Socks are a great find. They fit nicely, are made from high-quality materials, and the workmanship is excellent. They keep my feet warm in my Santa boots during outdoor events, even in colder temperatures. The socks fit comfortably up the leg to just below the knee, providing both warmth and support. For the quality, they’re an excellent value. Highly recommended—and I’ll definitely be buying more pairs to keep on hand. Read more
