I was recently diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff, after years of pain. I bought the Hyperice X2 to help reduce pain and inflammation, and I have been very happy with my purchase. It's comfortable to wear, and fits well. It is easy to use and seems to be made well. I was surprised at how cold it gets. I often do the contrast therapy, where it alternates between hot and cold, and it feels so good on my shoulder. It also offers a slight pressure, which also feels good. My only "complaint" would be how long the battery lasts. I find that I have to recharge it after each use. It lasts about 90 min, which is what is advertised (so no starts deducted). I just wish it lasted longer. Maybe, future models will. Other than that, I am extremely happy with my purchase. I will be having surgery in the near future to repair my shoulder, and will likely use the Hyperice during my recovery as well. Read more

The media could not be loaded. Overall I’m very happy with the X2 knee device! I own the first generation as well, which I’m also a fan of, but the addition of compression makes the X2 device even more effective! Compared to the gen 1, the X2 device allows you to use a better Velcro mechanism to secure the device to your leg, ensuring that the thermal pad makes good, consistent contact with your knee to improve the heat transfer and cooling effect of the device. With the gen 1 device, I needed to use the provided Velcro strips to help synch the lower strap around my smaller calves to ensure a good contact with the thermal pad. The X2 device supports a wider range of body sizes without the need for additional straps. What’s also a boon is the ability to use the device without having to connect through your phone. Of course you can still use the phone and dial in the settings you want to use with their great UI for device control, but it’s nice to be able to use it when you don’t have your phone handy. You simply select the functions on the device LCD screen and then press start to get started in the first cycle. You can add more time very easily and intuitively. You will need to consult the “quick start” manual to learn what buttons allow you to program what, but I think that’s a pretty quick study. I also find that the compression is on par with other Normatec devices and that the use of compression along with contrast results in less swelling in my knees and faster recovery after big leg workouts. I think it is importance to keep the leg in a good, horizontal position so that the device is fully in contact with the knee, so you have to set yourself up for success and make sure you’re using the device correctly if you’re not feeling enough cooling sensation, but the compression helps to drive the thermal pad closer to the skin and muscle, improving the heat transfer and cooling. Overall this is a huge improvement on the gen 1 device, which I already loved! Read more

I had to return this item when it stopped working; error code "3" which I couldn't fix after trying all the recommendations. Too expensive for me to risk waiting to hear from the company. I didn't want to miss the return deadline. When it was working, it was so WONDERFUL. Loved the cold to warm settings and compression. After using every day for around a week or so, it would just shut off and show the error code "3." Disappointed as I really need a device like this. I gave it a 4 rating because it is wonderful when it works. I'm sorry I had to return. Read more

Ordered the first one approximately one month ago. It worked great when it worked. I contacted Amazon and wanted to do an exchange but they said they could only refund it. So I returned the product and purchased another one because I did like it and was hoping I just got a bad one. Amazon didn’t refund everything…they kept $79 as damage fee? Now the other one I ordered is having the exact same problem and I feel I am stuck with it because I don’t want to pay another $439 plus $79 plus another $79. Where is customer support? Read more

Throw your ice packs away! This hyperice knee wrap is amazing. If you are familiar with Normatec products (we have the full leg and hips) you know that they are fantastic for pre or post workouts and noticeably reduce swelling and that heavy, lactic-acid leg feeling. We take ours on all of our ski and mountain biking trips. But this knee wrap is another level up. The added heat and cold contrast therapy is awesome. I was expecting the heat to work well, but the cooling was way more functional than I expected... certainly removes the need for ice packs after workouts. In addition, the lower volume compression works really efficiently and the new hose-less pump is so much easier to use and allows you move around and get on with your day while still in recovery. As an in-denial, middle-aged, former varsity athlete with a repaired ACL and product is a must have... maybe I can pretend I'm still 30 years old for another decade. Read more

Absolutely worth the money in my opinion. Had surgery and this therapy brace has helped so much, especially with the contrast. I would buy the x2 knee but they don’t offer an extended warranty on that one. Read more
