Overall there sound quality is very good however it wouldn't exactly be surround sound quality and I wouldn't say that it's a competitive type of headset to use if you are trying to pinpoint placement of people I don't think that it will be the one you would choose. Overall I have a SteelSeries Arctic 9x which I have had for 5 years and has been through many part changes, I stay loyal to it, and think that while it is comparable, it doesn't have the mic quality and doesn't have bluetooth (it's wired). however its a nice headset to use while the other is charging.
