Impressed with these bars. Totally rock solid and zero flexing or anything feeling questionable. Just the right size and spacing with quality firm (not plush/flimsy) grips where you want them. They're not lite so be careful when installing - but can be done by one person (I did). Sounds funny too, but the packaging & how they were shipped was maybe even more impressive. Even when I was very fit, I couldn’t do a pull-up. So, I established a goal to be able to be able to do them, which requires the right equipment to train for (and accomplish) it. Intersect that with my paranoia about the safety of the various options (especially for a guy as large as me) and I did a decent amount of searching before settling on the this PRO Mounting version. I made the right choice. This is an attractive and sturdy solution that will have multiple exercise options once I’ve built up my strength. Installation was relatively easy, although I do believe PRO Mountings could improve the assembly and installation instructions by making them less ambiguous. Super fast shipping! Well packaged for shipping. About an hour to mount very simple if you are handy with tools. Which brings me to my only gripe. The installation instructions do not show what tools you need (but not a big deal for me since I am a tradesman, others maybe) You will need the allen wrench it brings, a 1/4” nut driver or socket (I used a socket), a 9/16” socket and ratchet wrench. Opposite bars are 25.5” apart, so to distribute my weight evenly I made sure it was centered at 12.25” under my 4” i-beam. I am very impressed at the quality and sturdiness. I highly recommend it. I absolutely love this thing. Best purchase for my home gym ever. I also bought a WOD nation elastic band that I attached to this for a little aid when I’m doing lots of pull ups.
