Great relief and works for real

MaddieDecember 12, 2025

Works for me, i have been using these pills for several years now, the formula changed recently and the peppermint seems less dominant but It's not a huge problem since the old formula caused me some heartburn, new one doesn't seem to do so. I suffer from persistent IBS and it can just attack me anytime whatever i eat, taking two pills makes the cramps totally dissappear and i don't have to run to the bathroom every 5 minutes or less, it's pricey but it really works for me. VERY EFFECTIVE!

CharlieDecember 25, 2025

Absolutely amazing!!! When nothing else worked. Worked within a couple of hours and cleaned me OUT! I suspect the delayed release within the lower intestine of pepermint oil was a key success factor. IBS appeares to be gone with only 2 pills!!! Read more

Helps so much woth IBS discomfort

PauletteDecember 19, 2025

I have seriously painful IBS. When I spoke to my Dr he let me know that mint oil can ease some of the symptoms. Since naking a few changes and adding this to my vitamins daily I have had far fewer and less painful IBS cramps. My husband has IBS also. He was having a lot of pain and I gave him one to take even after the pain had gotten to a really uncomfortable level. In about 15 minutes the pain started to subside and within an hour he dropped from a 10+ pain level to a more doable 2 or 3. Sometimes you do get a pepperminty after taste. If you like that taste you won’t mind. Give it a try. Simple and easy and effective. Read more

solid natural option

AK2AZ3September 23, 2025

I’ve been dealing with frequent heartburn and was looking for a natural alternative to ease the discomfort without relying solely on medication. IBgard Peppermint Oil Capsules turned out to be a surprisingly effective option. The cooling sensation really helps soothe the burning feeling, and it noticeably reduces cramping during flare-ups. While it doesn’t completely replace prescription meds for more severe episodes, it’s a great supplement to have on hand for milder symptoms or as a preventative measure. I appreciate that it’s gentle on the stomach and doesn’t cause any unpleasant side effects. The capsules are easy to take, and I’ve noticed a difference in overall gut comfort since starting them. It’s not a miracle cure, but it’s a solid natural support for digestive health. If you’re looking for something to complement your current regimen or reduce reliance on stronger meds, this is worth trying. I’ll definitely keep it in my rotation. Read more

Game changer for my IBS-D

CustomerSeptember 19, 2025

It worked on the first day (initial stages of flare up - cramping, pain, diarrhea soon to follow, which it did). Took only 1 (see Note below), 70 minutes before eating, only sipping water during that time after taking. In less than 2 hours, all symptoms gone. And no stomach acid problems (that was a big worry). While Immodim may, at times, work faster, it also makes me constipated for several days after, which creates other problems. This did not. What I don't like? 1) Some of the ingredients. While I prefer more natural products, this enteric coating made the peppermint get to where it needed to go, without stomach acid problems and, for me, that is a life changer on multiple levels. 2) Nestle ownership now. Large corporate ownership frequently alters the product to improve their financial bottom line. NOTE: PLEASE consider, that, when taking any supplement for the first time, take the lowest dosage and heed the instructions, like timing, until you understand how your body will react. Also, if you are taking other prescriptions, over the counter medications, supplements, please consider timing between taking these things as well, and researching interactions, too. Read more

Minty Assistance

dh4msDecember 7, 2025

My go to med before I know I am going to eat something my tummy will hate me for later, lol. Also works well for when I forget to take it before and end up taking it after I have eaten. Can take any time. They do have a strong minty flavor but it is not too bad. Limited and natural ingredients. Helps with my IBS issues. Read more

Read the "Important Information" Section!!

Mark R.August 1, 2023

Somehow I missed the "Important Information" section here in the IBGuard product information. Assuming I was "in flare," I started right off taking two capsules 30 minutes before my three meals a day for the first four days. Almost immediately, I got painful and persistent heartburn in my upper right chest area. I have rarely had heartburn in my entire life. As a result, I will cut back to one pill a day. If the heartburn persists, these wildly overpriced pills will go in the garbage. I gave three stars because they do help some with my bloating. I am copying and pasting some of the "Important Information" here. "IBgard should be taken as directed by a physician. Usual adult dosage: For daily and proactive gut-health support: Two capsules once a day. Take 30 to 90 minutes before a meal, with water. When in flare: Two capsules, three times a day, for four weeks. Take 30 to 90 minutes before meals, with water. Do not exceed eight capsules per day. Swallow capsules whole or mix microspheres with applesauce. Do not chew. Legal Disclaimer : Possible effects include: Nausea, heartburn and vomiting. May cause digestive upset. Discontinue use of this product immediately." I find it confusing that the usage information is not the same between the "Important Information" section online, and the "Suggested Usage" on the product box. For example, the box says nothing about a 4-month time limit, or just two capsules a day for daily use. P.S. In fairness to IBGuard, I should state that I take a PPI (either omeprazole or pantoprazole) every day at approximately 5:00 a.m. I haven't been taking the first IBGuard pills until about 9:00 a.m. I thought this would be okay considering the time interval, but the PPI's are time release tablets so perhaps the fact that they lower my stomach acid may mean that the enteric coated IBGuard pills are dissolving in my stomach, giving me heartburn, rather than passing through my stomach and dissolving in my small intestine where they are supposed to dissolve. So, in essence, my particular medication may be interacting with the IBGuard and causing the heartburn. Read more
