I finally tried the tape on my knee, and it's awesome. That tape gives just the right squeeze: tight enough for support but still flexible enough to bend and walk. I can move around with it. Feels breathable and soft the whole time. It also provide a great sense of cool, makes me feel a lot better after wraping with it. It is easier for me to walk with the tape on. Would totally recommend it if you need something that works but still lets you be active and comfortable. Read more

Already used twice with son’s soccer team. I was able to give to someone to wrap up his son’s leg when he got hurt for soccer. It kept well until he went to the hospital later. 6/17/2025 review of the Isloyals Store Ice Tape, Instant Cold Compression Wrap, Self Sticking Athletic Cool Tape for Knee, Ankle, Wrist, Cold Bandage wrap for Sports Injuries, Pain & Swelling Relief, No Refrigeration Needed (Blue): $8.99 Intended Use: Emergency sports injury / pain relief on body. The test: When I opened the outer plastic bag, I can already feel this bandage is a bit cooler. Once the inner air tight bag is opened, I can smell the alcohol and feel the moisture in the tape. Wrapping this around my aching heels after 2 hours of pickleball does help with pain relief but only for about 20 minutes. I did only wrap this around my heels twice. Wrapping more tape might offer more insulation / allow cooling to be longer. The interesting thing in wrapping this around my heels to treat heel pain is that the top of my foot feels more cool than my heels. That means my heels being in contact with my slippers blocks out some air that the top of my feet gets to help the tape stay cool. After 20 minutes, I removed the tape and wrapped one around my knee and the other around my ankle. Sticking back onto itself eventually happened but took a few tries. Tape offered some cooling comfort to new areas but for short period of time. Pros: 1. This is like a self adhering compression bandage that you wrap around an injury for support. In this respect, the compression supports ankles, wrists, etc... and helps relieve pain. 2. The difference is this bandage has been dipped in / infused with alcohol, mint extract and distilled water to stay wet and cool. And it is cooling, like gently refrigerated water. 3. It is reusable and convenient. Cons: 1. The cooling effect is very light. It doesn't last very long. In an emergency, it's better than nothing. 2. Once I realized this is a wet product, it dawned on me that when the air tight seal in the bag was opened, the rest of the tape will probably dry out. Not sure how long that will take and what the effectiveness will be after. 3. The reusability / sticking to itself again does degrade. With the amount of effort it took just for the 2nd use, I'm not sure this can be rewrapped more than 3 times without me pulling out my hair. 4. The alcohol is medical grade and is pretty strong. When I initially tried to take a closer look, my eyes felt the alcohol with the tape at chest level. I'm not going to try to use this around my shoulders. Read more

When I first opened this thing, I genuinely thought I'd been pranked. It looked like someone dipped an Ace bandage in a puddle and sealed it in a packet. To make things even more suspicious, the smell that came out was basically Vicks VapoRub announcing itself like, “HELLO, I’M HERE AND I’M MENTHOL.” Not exactly what I expected from something that looks like sports tape on a bad day. Still, I followed the directions and snipped off a piece for my wrist—carpal tunnel life, yay. I usually rely on fuzzy gel packs I keep in the freezer, but unless I want to be completely useless for half an hour, those aren’t practical. This little menthol-scented mystery bandage, though? Total game changer. I really put it to the test while making dinner after a long day in the yard, and wow. The cooling hit instantly and hovered right on that magical line between “ahhh relief” and “am I icing my wrist with a glacier?” but in the best way. The menthol smell is definitely noticeable, so if strong scents aren’t your thing, proceed with caution. But if you don’t mind smelling faintly like you’re ready to tackle cold season and joint pain at the same time, it’s kind of fantastic. The best part is how portable it is—no freezer, no cooler, no frantic hunt for ice cubes that somehow always disappear when you need them. It even sticks to itself like it knows its job and doesn’t need any extra help. One went straight to my first-aid kit, and the other will be staying within arm’s reach for all future wrist drama. I'm giving this product 4 stars because it does the main things it advertises: it provides a long-lasting cooling feeling without the need for freezing, and it is portable and fairly easy to use. I got it at the perfect time because I bruised my foot playing volleyball, and this bandage provided much needed relief. It is similar to other minty medical products (think IcyHot or Bengay) and it is basically a medical bandage covered in the compound that provides that cold feeling. It is surprisingly effective, the bandage holds in place with no issues and the cooling feeling was still active by the time I removed the bandage. I deducted one star from my review because the bandage comes doused in the menthol compound. It is extremely moist, which would make it super uncomfortable to wear underneath clothing. I had it wrapped around my foot and was wearing Crocs to avoid getting my shoes/socks damp, but it was still a bit uncomfortable. I did not love that, but overall if you can work around it, the product will work and you shouldn't have any issues. The value isn't too bad for the amount of bandage you get vs what you pay for.
