These are the perfect size and I love the color. I realized I needed waterproof hiking pants because water resistant ones just weren’t cutting it. I hiked in Calaveras Big Trees and there was a light to moderate drizzle that was coming in at an angle. The rain jacket kept my torso dry but my legs were soaked! So these pants are a necessity. Yes, they make a squitchety noise when I walk, but so does most nylon-type rain wear. These are comfortable, well-made, and not too plasticky, so they feel breathable. My best tip is to make sure you’re getting the right size. I bought medium first, and they were too big and puffy. Small was the correct size, and they are just right. Also, get them long enough to fit over the top of your boot—you don’t want water running off them and down inside your footwear. Read more
The pants are well made and exactly as advertised - high waisted (thank you!), great pockets and waterproof! I’m very happy with my purchase. I’m 5 foot 2 inches and the 27inch inseam was perfect! I’m 140 pounds and the medium fits great. Read more
I purchased these to wear over pants so got Med, 27" inseam. I am 5'3, weigh 115 and they fit well other than waist is a little snug, would be more comfortable if a bit looser or if worn without additional layer underneath. Might be better with leggings rather than jeans, haven't tried that. The length is perfect, I like the zipper and velcro at the bottom of the pant leg, the inner mesh lining doesn't seem scratchy and the material doesn't seem to create a big noise factor during walking. Side pockets seem deep enough although there aren't zippers so I'd be hesitant to put anything of value in them. I'm hoping for a rainy day so I can wear them and better assess water repellent feature. All in all, for the price, I think they will do exactly what I need. Update: Wore for 10 days in Iceland, kept me dry thru 2 torrential rain events plus unexpected snow storm. With light fleece tights underneath, I was snug and warm and dry! Very happy with purchase, wish waist wasn’t as tight but not a deal breaker for me. Read more
These are GREAT! They run true to size. I love the Velcro at the bottom and the cinch waistband. I will wear them over my regular pants. I am 5’8” and 150 lbs. ordered large with 31” inseam. Finally, a pair of pants that are long enough! Read more
This pants saved me on my vacation to Iceland. It rained on us the whole time and these pants were able to keep my legs dry. Under these I wore my leggings, and I never got too hot but they also kept me warm. I would recommend sizing up on these so you can fit these over other pants. They rolled up to be pretty small in my suitcase. They also didn’t look too bag on me, they looked pretty good. I found them comfortable, though they were a bit tight on my thighs when I tried to put my leg up high. They decent sized pockets which were helpful. Highly recommend these if you are visiting somewhere that will be wet. Read more
Perfectly dry! In addition to the Diamond Candy 3-in-1 jacket, I bought these for our Alaskan cruise. Again, we were told it rains quite a bit and we would want to have "rain pants" with us. My first thought was that it was going to be like wearing plastic. Wrong! These are lightweight yet thick enough to keep out the water and breath. I like the toggles on the bottom for tightening the legs around your ankles/boots. This ensures you do not get water splashing up inside your pant legs. The leg openings are also plenty large it makes it easy to have your shoes on and slip the pants on over them. They worked really well. I made the mistake of going up a size thinking that I wanted flexibility of having my jeans on underneath, but I admit, I was swimming in them and should have gone with just a size L, which is my normal size. Most ladies seem to just wear leggings underneath but I was concerned with being cold, like I normally am, so I went with an XL to accommodate the jeans. I was very impressed that there are different inseam lengths. The toggles and velcro at the bottoms help with that, but it was nice to have something closer to my normal inseam rather than feeling like I was in clown pants. Solid black gave them a nicer look, too. Read more
I bought these at the same time as another pair to compare, and I decided to keep the other pair amd return these. I’m about to travel to Iceland and Europe this winter, and I also do fieldwork in cold and rainy conditions sometimes. These pants probably would have been fine, especially for the price (got the on sale for $23.99) but I went for the pair I paid $6 more for due to fit and quality. I’m 5’4” and 200 lbs with a lot of junk in the trunk, lol. These were actually pretty huge in the butt, even over fleece-lined leggings. I bought XXL based on measurements and probably could have sized down. They also ballooned out in the front in a really unattractive way. The 29” inseam was long on me, and I know I could have gotten 27” but they were going to take a few more weeks to arrive (too long). This wouldn’t have been a functional problem since there’s Velcro at the bottom to cinch the leg opening in, but it looked ridiculous. The other pants had a 29.5” inseam, but they fit better lengthwise, too. Finally, the fabric is clearly lower quality on this pair. I’m REALLY not trying to end up wet in Iceland, so this was very important to me. I didn’t actually try these in the rain, so I can’t speak to their actual performance though. Read more
Best. Rain. Pants. EVER. It’s lightweight, breathable and 100% rain proof. The width at the ankles is adjustable, which I love, and I wear it to walk to work or anywhere in the city when it’s rains :) Read more
