Since I only have a few dishes to wash at a time, I thought this small dish drying rack would be a great alternative to the large one I have that takes up so much counter space. It does have a smaller footprint, however, it doesn't handle bowls well at all. They won't stack on their side, too fat & you can't lean them up against, for example, a few plates that are lined up to dry, because there's no sides to the rack & the weight of the bowl will topple over the plates & everything gets shoved off of the rack. I ended up laying a dish towel beside the rack & leaning bowls & my cooking pot there. It wasn't wide enough for an average cooking pot or pan either. My overall assesment. If you're only looking to dry a plate, saucers & maybe coffee cups, it'll work, but anything more, it's not functional. Also, the flatware just sits in the bottom, where the water drains to, so they'll get spotty if you don't towel dry them immediately. I'll give it high marks for one thing, it's flat, so easily stows away under the sink or wherever you want to store it when not in use. Read more
This white suction sink caddy is decent quality and does what it’s meant to just with a few inconveniences. The suction cups are strong and the caddy is made of thick plastic so it’s lightweight enough to hold. The thing I dislike is the size of the holes that the suction cups attach to, there is too much space for the suction cup to move which causes the caddy to slip down slightly. I also think the size of the compartment in this is kind of silly. It’s wider and longer than what’s needed for most sponges yet not enough to accommodate other things like wand or palm dish brushes. It’s fine for holding a wash cloth and cleaning sponges but that’s about it, so if you want something that will hold just those things I’d recommend it. Read more
I was really excited about the opportunity to order this sink caddy. We've owned one similar to this in the past that I think my wife picked up at Dollar Tree. But it was one that mounted to the side of the sink rather than the top of the counter, so with the water accumulation and the way of the wet sponge and chainmail cast iron scrubber that I use, it kept falling off. Since it kept falling, we eventually just took it down. But that caused a problem since one day; the chainmail scrubber fell down into my brand new garbage disposal (probably less than a month old) without me knowing. Sadly, I kicked it on, and it started going to town on the scrubber. I spent hours trying to get every piece of metal out of that thing. Thankfully, it didn't cause permanent damage to the disposal, but it tore up my scrubber, so I had to order a new one. Well this caddy has fixed that issue, and now I don't have any issues with it falling down. I put my soap dispenser on the top portion of the caddy and a sponge and chainmail scrubber in the pocket. So far, I haven't had any issues with it falling down, but I figured that if I do, I'll take the suction cups off, sand down the plastic mounts for the suction cups with my belt sander, and then adhere it to the counter with double-sided heavy-duty clear mounting tape that I have. That will definitely keep it in place. Read more
This is as basic as it gets. A soap dispenser that sits loosely in a tray. I was expecting the 2 pieces to be more integrated, but they are not. The sponge shown in photos is not included, and that space does not fit a standard size sponge. Quality is fine. Nothing special, but seems like it should last long enough. I do appreciate the wide cap for filling. The soap nozzle is also wide and the soap sort of glops out instead of a typical squirt. Each pump releases probably 2-3x more soap than a typical bottle. Quality is passable, but not exceptional. Nothing standout but does the job fine enough. Read more
Cheap feeling and not well made. The soap dish is made of very thin and cheap plastic. To be fair it's held up for a few months without any real issues. The soap container is where I take issue. The thing constantly drips out soap. You pump it once to get soap onto your sponge and it'll keep spitting out soap throughout the day into the sink or wherever the tip of the dispenser is aimed. I've tried a few different brands of dish soap and it didn't matter if it was thick or thin soap it always kept on dripping out soap and wasting it. This is wasteful design and I can't keep using it. We've been using one of those sponge-press dispensers for our Dawn dishwashing liquid, and it works well for quick hand-washings at the sink. But I like this better because I keep two tubs in our farmhouse-style sink and I can squirt out what I need to make a tub of soapy water. It's a tidy little solution and doesn't take up a lot of room. Nice to have. I haven't tried this with other types of soaps other than the dishwashing liquid, but it's supposed to work well with, say, hand soap, too. Read more
I wanted something on my sink to appear more organized, I thought this would be a great choice but it is much cheaper feeling than I thought it was going to be. It is lightweight so every time I use the pump the tray moves and the soap pump doesn't dispense much soap at one time so I have to press it several times which makes the tray move around. For the price, it's not a bad option but there are many other sturdier soap pumps available. The only good thing is that it is plastic, so it will not rust. Read more
